888poker seems to be hitting the right notes this WSOP. After announcing an exciting promotion for online players called, “Supersize ME” Qualifiers, the site has now made another positive development. Professional poker player and Twitch online poker streamer Jeff Gross (cover image) has became the latest member to join the 888poker family.
Representing the site, Gross was spotted wearing the 888poker patch proudly on his chest when showed up for the fifth starting flight of the 2016 World Series of Poker $565 Colossus II event.
Gross boasts an impressive $872,755 in earnings from 24 cashes and a handful of final tables at the WSOP. In addition his poker resume shows $2,489,058 in live earnings from a career stretching back to 2007, and a further $664,562 playing online under the screen name “Kidwhowon”.
Gross was happy with his new signing and later told media, “..I know they’re one of the main sponsors of the WSOP and I’ve been coming here for many years, so of course, yes. It’s great. It’s a reputable brand. Last year I helped Cannuli at the final table, and he got a deal with 888, and I know some of those guys, so it’s awesome. I’m really excited to be a part of the team.”
Totally charged up with this new collaboration, Gross is now looking forward to taking part in a whole range of poker variants at this year’s WSOP, with buy-ins ranging from $500 to the $111k. The 29 year-old pro loves the buzz the WSOP creates, and welcomes the opportunity to compete at dozens of events without having to endure the high travel and expenses usually endured by tournament pros.
This new signing will give Gross, who gained the ‘Professional Best Friend’ tag because of being one of poker’s nicest guys, another opportunity to make new friends. He has befriended a number of members of the growing poker community, including recreational players like billionaire Bill Perkins and 18-time Olympic gold medalist swimmer Michael Phelps, and he shows up on the rail whenever any one of them runs deep in a tournament.
