Golden Aces Poker League July Event Cancelled

Bangalore based card room operator and tournament organizer, Golden Aces on Friday announced the cancellation of its upcoming tournament series. The event scheduled for 3-6^th July now stands cancelled with the organizers making the announcement on Facebook “We regret to inform you that GAPL July Event is postponed, We regret any inconvenience caused. Please watch our page for new Event dates; Golden Aces Cards Room”.

Goa off-late has lost its appeal as a tournament destination and the last couple of months have witnessed many planned events getting canned. Cases in example are the Pride Poker Cup and The Great Indian Shuffle.

Even popular tournament series like Deltin Royale Cup have done away with conventional buy-in tournaments and switched to loyalty freerolls for cash game patrons.

The news of the cancellation just two weeks before the event, was not well received by the player community. Many players had advance flight and hotel reservations and took to social media to voice their displeasure on the late cancellation of the series.
