India Poker Championship (IPC) 2016 Season Kicks Off From Feb 24-28, Online Satellites on SpartanPoker.com

The India Poker Championship (IPC) December finale hangover has hardly settled, leaving in its wake a craving for more. So here’s news of the next IPC Season, a perfect dose of anticipation and excitement, kicking off on Feb 24.

In a press release sent to PokerGuru, India Poker Championship (IPC) confirmed that the opening event of the 2016 Season will be held from Feb 24-28 at the Deltin Royale Poker Lounge in Goa. The Feb edition of the IPC will see the series once again going back to a five-day format i.e. starting on Wed and ending on Sun. However a closer look at the schedule reveals quite a few changes from the previous editions. The most noticeable is the absence of the Mega Satellite that has been the series opener for all events last edition. However, the Feb edition will see this replaced by the 10K Kickoff event, which has a juicy INR 10 Lakhs guarantee. The other big change is the absence of the 5k Warm up event, typically the first side event at the series that was a regular feature on Thursdays which gets replaced with the 15K Bounty event at the upcoming Feb edition.



The Highroller event comes back once again in Feb after a successful run in the Dec finale. The Highroller was introduced for the first time ever in Aug and though organizers skipped the high buy-in event in Oct, the Highroller was back with a bang in Dec with organizers doubling the buy-in. According to the IPC crew, the Highroller event is expected to become a regular feature at the series going forward.

The crowning jewel of the series once again will be the 30K Big Game (Main Event) with its guaranteed prize pool of INR 30 Lakhs, which will culminate on Sunday. The same day will also see the last of the side events i.e. 10K Turbo event closing out the five-day series.
