Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP), one of the world’s most popular online tournament series, is set to welcome the New Year with its fourth edition from Jan 22 to Feb 1.

Since its inception in 2012, the event has gained in stature and popularity as most players look forward to this mega series that will boast of 50 events this time around, with a combined $15 Million in guaranteed prize money.

The 2015 edition of the TCOOP will look to replicate the success of past years as it brings back an impressive number of fast-structured tournaments at a wide range of buy-ins, which attract both recreational and professional players.

The series brings back what we love most about it, some fast paced action with Turbo and Super Turbo blind levels. Players’ favorite No-Limit Hold’em dominates the schedule and PokerStars has included variations like Zoom, short-handed, heads-up, re-entry, shootout, and knockout versions of No-Limit Hold`em in the schedule. Stud and Omaha varieties, as well as HORSE also feature prominently on the schedule.

Last year, Indian players did reasonably well in the series! PokerGuru member Anuj ‘anuj22’ Arora became the first Indian player to win a TCOOP event, when he took down Event 12 to win the top prize of $4,983 after a heads-up duel.

In what turned out to be the biggest online score by an Indian, Young Gun Danish ‘danish7’ Shaikh came in striking distance of the coveted TCOOP Main Event title last year, missing it by a whisker when he finished second for $245,835.

Danish seems eager to do even better this year. “I’m really pumped up and looking to play a lot during the series. Hopefully I can bag the title this time,” he stated.

Highlighting the series once again is the $2 Million GTD Main Event, a $700 buy-in tournament that will start on Feb. 1. The champion of the Main Event will be richer by at least $300,000.

Other marquee events in the schedule include the opening event i.e. $27 buy-in $500,000 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Max tournament on Jan 22, as well as the TCOOP Event #47 – $2,100 No-Limit Hold’em with an impressive $1,250,000 guarantee.

Like all other big tournament series on PokerStars, there will be a leaderboard to keep track of the best player across all events of TCOOP. The top 100 finishers on the leaderboard will also win prizes.

The leaderboard champion will earn an entry into the 2015 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) $10,300 Main Event and a special Champion’s Trophy. The second place finisher will receive a 2015 SCOOP $5,200 ticket and third to fifth place finishers take home 2015 SCOOP $2,100 tickets. In addition, sixth to tenth place finishers will take home 2015 SCOOP Main Event Ticket worth $1,050 and eleventh to hundredth place finisher will get 2015 SCOOP Main Event Ticket worth $109.

PokerStars offers a large number of online qualifiers/satellites that allow players a chance to win eats in the 2015 TCOOP. Buy-in`s start at just 11 cents or a single Frequent Player Point (FPP).

So get ready for some fast paced action, TCOOP is coming!
