Even as its annual festival at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas begins winding to a close, the schedule for the 2015 WSOP Circuit Season 12 has been released.

Ty Stewart Executive Director WSOP, spoke about the new series admitting that as not all players across America could make it for the Vegas festival and this was a way of giving them a feel of the same. He said, “We know not everyone can make it out to Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker, and this is our way of bringing the flavor and feel of the WSOP to regional markets.”

Stewart went on to add that,“The WSOP Circuit continues to be a great success, both at getting new players to the game and creating tomorrow’s stars and we’re excited to kick off the twelfth season August 6.”

The new Season 12 has several changes in store, the major being a new Global Casino Championship in place of the season-ending National Championship, besides upgrading the entire series to a more international scale.

There will be an approximate 25 stops in the new schedule, with 19 in the US alone and six overseas. International stops will include Italy, Czechoslovakia, Mexico and two more, yet to be announced. The buy-ins will range from $365 to $1,675.

A new stop, Bally’s Las Vegas, from February 25 to March 7 has been added to the other regular stops in the domestic sector, such as, Foxwoods, Choctaw Durant, Palm Beach Kennel Club, etc.

Besides these, several international stops have been added, which will ultimately lead to the Global Casino Championship, with its $1,000,000 prize pool and a Gold Bracelet for the winner.

As practiced earlier, all the $1,675 Main Event winners will get a spot in the finale. This will also be applicable to the “Casino Champion”, players with the maximum points earned at each spot. In all about 100 players will gain an in, through the above two routes.

If for any reason, a winner of the official “Ring” events does not qualify for entry, due to an automatic invite or standings in the ranking events, they will be allowed to buy in to the WSOP Global Casino Championship for $10,000.

This season, the Main Events will all be re-entry ones, with one morning and one evening flight for players at most of the stops. Additionally, this time, players will be allowed to re-enter if they bust a flight. In all, they will now get 4 entries – two per flight.

Just as there are two qualifiers per stop in the domestic circuit, similarly, there will be two for the WSOP Global Championship.
