Its quite clear what this blog is gonna be about from the Title. But if it aint, it’s the second series after my blog, Macau Diaries and guess what, this is gonna be a little better. I promise that I am gonna find time to be in front of my laptop everyday (or as often as possible) and give you updates( Might add some pictures too).
Like the Macau Diaries, This blog is also gonna talk a lot of about poker, the general life there and how the team is doing generally.
Let me start with how the team plans for a trip first of all.
We as a team decide which tournaments we need to play outside the country way in advance, and we start the planning way in advance. That’s it. We just plan. The execution is at the last humanly possible minute. We have the best travel guy in the world working for us. So we kinda abuse( make him over work) him as much as possible. We are so baller, we don’t believe in paying the basic fare. We wait till the airlines charge us ridiculously obscene airfares and pay that and fly. What if we don’t fly business, we at least paid so much. In your face…. So that’s how we plan the entire trip…
I think we are really pretty baller when it comes to preparing for a tournament . Although it’s a lot of fun being the part of the team and travelling for Poker, we realize that we are going there on a purpose and try to give it our 100% no matter what. AS far as preparations go, it’s the regular drill. We go through a lot of hand Histories, Have a few discussion sessions with adi, go over the feedback we have received etc. This time around I wanted to change it a bit. I took a break completely for a week and just kept watching replays of the WSOP or other deep tourneys and started making notes of spots which are confusing. I later discussed this with Adi and figured out the best and most profitable way to play them. I think this was a great exercise and helped my confidence a lot.
That was the first edition of Philippines Diaries and I hope you guys enjoy reading it as much as I do writing it.
