I haven’t blogged for a while because I have been putting in massive volume online. For the first time in my life I have got platinum star, and that too within 10 days of the month. This has been due to some unreal volume and I am soon upgrading my computer with dual monitors etc so I can really play a massive number of tables something which is tougher to do now due to inadequate screen size/resolution making it tough to play beyond 9 or 10 tables with full attention.
This has been by a distance my worst month in poker, results wise. I feel like my game has improved a lot and I have spent lots of time thinking about and playing poker, and I feel like my understanding has improved a lot. Sadly that hasn’t translated into results, because I have been running incredibly bad in all the high equity flips. My style has always been high-variance, so this kind of patch is inevitable. I am nonetheless determined to get through it by continuing to play and putting in massive volume.
May is gonna be pretty sick because the SCOOP is coming along and I finally have the Bankroll to play it, on top of that, the PGT and APT are happening in May, so I am going to be playing poker pretty much non-stop throughout May. In order to have the roll to do that I need to grind my Bankroll up a lot, and so from today I am basically not going to play any standard MTTs during the weekdays, instead I am going to grind a pretty enormous number of 180 man SNGs everyday. Despite all the run-bad I am feeling very positive and I am pretty sure I am gonna have a huge upswing sooner rather than later.
