The fight for Match 4 is now down to the final three! Aditya Sushant, who battled back with a couple of double-ups, finally saw his run end in fourth place. The Tamil Nadu champion adds 20 points to his tally from Day 1, bringing his overall score to 50 points. He’ll now have to put up a strong performance on Day 3 to stay in the mix for the finale.
Picking up the bounty – his second of this match – was Chandigarh’s Ankit Wadhawan!
Ankit Wadhawan put pressure on the button, raising it to 10,000 holding . In the big blind, Aditya Sushant looked down at and decided to shove all in for his remaining 57,500 chips. Wadhawan, holding the dominating Ace-King (‘big slick’), made the call.
Sushant needed help from the board, looking for threes or spades. The dealer ran out the community cards . The board completely missed both players.
Wadhawan’s Ace-King high played, taking down the pot and sending the Chennai-based pro to the rail. Wadhawan collected another 15 bonus bounty points and scooped the 122,500 pot, boosting his stack significantly.
