The series opener ₹5K Burn N Turn Event has culminated, crowing a winner in Anish Juwarkar. We had earlier predicted that Juwarkar would be a player to watch out for, and as it turns out, he was the last player standing from the starting field of 197 entries.

Juwarkar, who has been playing poker for over a decade now, had entered the final table as the short stack. Despite the tough odds, he put his 11 years of experience to good use and eliminated the likes of Niyut Shah, Dhaval Doshi, and Karan Mehta, en route to his heads-up showdown against Rajat Singh.

Once again, Juwarkar had started out on the back-foot at the start of the heads-up play. Still, he managed to make a comeback and whisk the chip lead away from Singh, ultimately claiming his first DPT Xpress title. This win comes as a redemption of sorts for Juwarkar, who had final tabled two events at the last DPT Xpress series in Goa!

When there were just five players left on the final table, the finalists had decided to strike an ICM deal. As per the deal, Singh assured himself the lion`s share worth ₹1.58 Lakhs. Dhaval Doshi (₹1.37 Lakhs), Clinton Fernandes (₹1.28 Lakhs), Anish Juwarkar (₹1.08 Lakhs) and Karan Mehta (₹98,200) divided the remainder of the prize money.
