Eight levels of play are officially done here in Match 1 of the National Poker Champion Showdown, and things are getting serious.

We’ve seen two players hit the rail so far – Wilson Yomso bowed out in sixth place earlier, and Goonjan Mall followed him out in fifth. That leaves just four contenders fighting it out for those crucial leaderboard points.

Those remaining four players are now stepping away from the tables for their second break of the day.

Don’t wander off too far, though! With the blinds set to climb higher, you can bet the action will only ramp up when they get back. Expect some intense poker ahead!
