The much-anticipated money bubble has now burst, and donning the cap of the unfortunate tournament bubble is Mihir Thakkar.

In what turned out to be the final hand of Day 1, Anuj Laddhad opened from the cutoff for 24,000, and Thakkar, who had blinded away most of his stack, was auto-all-in in the big blind for 6,000.

Thakkar’s turned pair of eights wasn’t good enough to hold on against Laddhad’s flopped aces, resulting in the former’s elimination in 25th place.
