The ₹15K Big Bounty at the ongoing 2022 Baazi Poker Tour registered a better turnout than the series opener ₹15K Kickoff. With the allure of the bounties on offer, the Big Bounty locked in 468 entries, generating a ₹42.59 Lakhs prize pool.
25-year-old Shashank Shekhar (666,000) emerged as the end-of-day chip leader. An online reg, Shekhar’s claim to fame is his runner-up finish in the January edition of the IOPC Super High Roller for ₹30.55 Lakhs. He has been playing poker for the past three years, but the Big Bounty is his first time playing a live tournament. And what a start it has been for the young man who bagged the overnight chip lead among the 28 players advancing to Day 2.
Kunal Patni (526,500) and the 2020 BPT Main Event champion Gautam Sachdeva (461,000) round out the top three stacks.
The other notable stacks belong to Young Gun Ujjwal Narwal (447,000), Romit Advani (433,000), Aditya Kesharwani (376,000), and PokerGuru Ambassador Ratul Steves (359,000).
