Since last year, the live poker scene in Goa has grown by leaps and bounds. Earlier this year, the Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) and India Poker Championship (IPC) returned with their recently revived series.
Deltin Poker Tournament, on the other hand, has been flourishing in the coastal state for some time now. In this time, the DPT has worked up quite the reputation for itself and has even branched out to offer sub-brands (other live events) that cater to players of different stakes. While the original DPT series is aimed at the mid-to-high stakes players, the DPT Colossal has been curated for the high stakes players.
The DPT Xpress is a one of its kind series that caters to the low-to-mid stakes players and is ideal for newbies looking to get a taste of the live poker scene. Previously hosted in Casino Deltin Denzong in Sikkim, the series shifted base to Goa (Deltin JAQK) last year and immediately witnessed a spike in attendance.
In fact, the last edition was by far the most successful outing for the series thus far, with the ₹15K Main Event recording its largest-ever field of 205 entries. Seasoned pro Anant Purohit claimed his career-first live title for the shipping the event for ₹7.40 Lakhs.
The series-opener last year had pulled in an impressive 303 entries and was championed by Aditya Sardana for ₹3.65 Lakhs.

“India’s Most Buzzing Poker Tournament” is back for its fourth edition and, for the very first time, will be hosted on-board the deluxe Casino Deltin Royale. The series will kick off with the ₹5K Burn N Turn Event at 6 PM later today!
Aimed to encourage participation among recreational players, the first DPT Xpress of 2020 is a fast-paced series. The ₹5K Burn N Turn Event comprises of 15-minute blind levels and will offer players a starting stack of 10,000 (Add-on: 20,000). Late registration will close at the start of Level 9, at approximately 8.15 PM. This will also signal the end of the add-on period.
