Wilson Yomso knows he needs a win in this final Match 6 to keep his National Poker Champion dreams alive, and he’s certainly showing he means business early on! (No flashy hair colours today, just focused poker from the Arunachal Pradesh champ!)
The always-involved Snehil Aggarwal kicked things off, opening from under the gun to 500 holding . Zarvan Tumboli decided just to call on the button with , and Wilson Yomso came along from the big blind with . Three players went to the flop.
The dealer laid out . Aggarwal hit top pair with his King. Yomso checked his option. Aggarwal put out a continuation bet of 700. Tumboli then decided to make a move, raising it up to 2,500 with his Ace-high. The action was back on Yomso, who, after checking initially, sprang into action with a sizable check-raise to 7,200!
This put both Aggarwal (with top pair) and Tumboli in a tough spot. Aggarwal thought better of it and folded his top pair. Tumboli also released his hand quickly.
Wilson Yomso took down the 12,200 pot with pure aggression on the flop! A great start for him as he looks to build a stack in this crucial final match before the Day 5 finale.
