Anmol Srivats Wins the ₹100K High Roller!

The verdict is out! Anmol Srivats is the latest IPC High Roller champion! Following a three-handed ICM-based deal that saw Srivats, Raag Fernandes and Zarvan Tumboli flatten the payjumps, Fernandes was eliminated in third place. Srivats who was already assured the biggest payout among the three finalists – ₹39.37 Lakhs in all, then locked horns with Tumboli for the title. All it took was one hand for him to win the title.

It was undoubtedly Srivats day and he ran all over the final table. He hit the cards at the right spots and was not afraid to play aggressively. In fact other than a few close calls and setbacks, it was Srivats who dominated the FT!

Srivats had the advantage of a towering chip lead with 26.175 Million in chips as against Tumboli’s 5.325 Million at the start of the heads-up and he put it to full use. The final hand of the tournament saw Tumboli looking for a double-up with pocket nines but Srivats’ who held queen-three spiked two more threes on the board for trips. With the win, the Bengaluru-based player snagged his career-first title!

Zarvan Tumboli Finishes Runner-Up

Zarvan Tumboli came whiskers close to the title but eventually finished runner-up. Since there was an ICM deal in place, instead of the ₹35.21 Lakhs that was originally reserved for the second-place finisher, Tumboli pocketed ₹30.59 Lakhs. Nonetheless, it was a great run for the pro who had won his career-first title at the very felts of IPC back in 2015 when he took down the ₹10K Freezeout title.

The heads-up play was over in just one hand. On the final hand of the tournament, Anmol Srivats moved all-in from the small blind, and Tumboli called with his remaining 20 big blinds.
