PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Ahuja Leads 33 Survivors to Day 2 of High Roller

The Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) ₹j100K High Roller had a smashing opening on Friday evening. The event logged in 118 entries and when the clock was paused, only 33 among them bagged a stack for Day 2. Ending the day in pole position was PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Ahuja.

Ahuja has only two days back, taken down the series-opener, 10K Kick-Off. Though he wasn’t one of the early entrants, Ahuja treaded an upward climb all through the day to bag a monster stack of 601,000.

Trailing Ahuja in chips is another seasoned pro Raghav Bansal (460,000) while stable-mate Rohit Mishra (454,500) rounds out the top three stacks.

PokerBaazi also had a strong showing in the event with PokerBaazi Team Pro Abhishek Rathod (420,000) and PokerBaazi CEO Navkiran Singh (410,500) both carrying big stacks to Day 2. We also saw former BPT champions Gokul Krishna (261,500) and Rohit Jinwal (132,500), as well as two more PokerGuru Ambassadors Ashish Munot (274,000) and Ankit Wadhawan (105,000), secure their berth on Day 2.

Day 2 will resume at Level 16 with the blinds at 2,500/5,000 and ante 5,000. With registrations open till the start of Level 17, the field is likely to expand further.

Even as the action was wrapping up for the day, it seemed like PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Ahuja was not going to miss the chance to win more chips. When the defending BPT High Roller champion Rohit Jinwal limped in, the player in the small blind (SB) bet 1.8K and Ahuja 3-bet it to 4.2K. Jinwal folded, while the SB called. The SB checked the flop and Ahuja fired a bet of 82K. The SB tanked for over five minutes, before deciding to shove the ace-high flop. Ahuja promptly called and flipped over , while SB turned over pocket queens. On the river , Ahuja politely said ‘Thanks!’ before collecting the pot, as the SB got up to vacate his seat.

Uday Moola Busted By Navkiran Singh After Hero Call Goes Wrong
