Question: (Consider the tourney to be mid stage, and I have 20x bb)
What can I possibly do when :
I hit set of aces on the flop, I don’t have any redraws – I check , he bets and I’m being put all in
is going all in a leak ?

I’m disgusted by this thing happening to me again n again.

In the above mentioned case I pushed it all in, what should I do if I checked and he pushes all in ?

umm ur the small blind and pretty much everyone is in the hand and to THAT flop there is no spot where a check on ur part is correct. So u shouldnt be thinking about situations if u had checked… but to answer the obvious.. in general, u call with the nuts at the time..

The only thing I do not like is the preflop reraise on your starting hand … AA + 99 (with only one flush suit) is not a starting hand which IMO is that strong. The cards do not work that well together. If it was AA QQ and double suited AsAd QsQd then yes since it is possible to catch two different flushes and has potential straight possiblities as well, but AA and 99 is not that great preflop … I would have flatted preflop.

N.B. It may not have altered the outcome and the chips may still have gone in on the flop … but it gives you the chance to see a cheaper flop and reassess your situation .. plus if there is a requirement to fold on flop you have not invested as much in the hand.
