      Hello friends,
      The Caesar’s cup is back as some of the best poker players of Europe and America are ready for the tough fight in the World Series Of Poker Europe(WSOPE) in Cannes, France, at the Le Croisette Casino Barriere Cannes from 7th-20th Oct. New events this year are No Limit shootout and for the first time a split format event where day 1 is nine handed, day 2 is six max, and day 3 is heads-up. In the bracelet action tournament there will also be a special ladies event (Non Bracelet). Alongside these tournaments, there are a total of 51 other events to suit poker players of all bankrolls.

      Here is a quick view of the WSOPE tournament.

      EVENT 1

      Guillaume Humbert wins Event 1: €2,500 Six-Max NLHE as he managed to steer his way through 360 player field to take home the €215,999 first prize and the coveted WSOP bracelet. He defeated Azusa Maeda of Japan heads up to claim the title.

      EVENT 2

      Andrew Hinrichsen steals Event 2 from Gianluca Speranza in the heads up battle. He claims €148,030 and the bracelet. Andrew busted 771 players to reach the peak of glory.

      EVENT 3

      Steve Billirakis is the Event 3: €5,300 Pot-Limit Omaha champion and he receives €238,140 as prize along with the bracelet. A total of 180 players were registered for the event. Michele Di Lauro was the 2nd place finisher for the night; he gets €147,171 for his efforts.

      EVENT 4

      Tristan Wade is the winner of Event 4: €3,200 No-Limit Hold’em Shootout. He receives €182,048 and the WSOP bracelet as he managed to steer his way from 258 entrants. Michael Watson was eliminated in 2nd Place and he gets €112,526.

      Hey guys,

      It’s time for an overview of the WSOPE results for event 5 and 6.

      EVENT 5

      WSOPE hosted a split format event for the first time ever. The split format game rules were Day 1 was played 9-handed, Day 2 was played 6-handed, Day 3 was played heads up, and in Day 4 the Semifinals and Final was played. 125 players attended this interesting format. The total prize pool was €1,200,000 and 16 places were to be paid. Finally Michael Mizrachi emerged victorious and received €336,008 along with the bracelet. Michael busted Shawn Buchanan in the final heads up action.

      EVENT 6

      This was a six max pot limit Omaha were 339 players battled for the title. 36 places were paid from a prize pool of €498,330. Philippe Boucher won the event and cashed €124,584 and the wsope bracelet. Michel Dattani was the 2nd place finisher.

      The results for the Main Event, Ladies Event and the Caesar’s Cup are as follows:

      EVENT 7 (Main Event)

      The buyin for the main event was €10,400; 593 players were present in the 5day event making a whopping prize pool of €5,692,800. The top 64 places were paid out of which the winner received €1,400,000 along with the prestigious WSOP bracelet. Elio Fox from US was the ultimate winner after 5 days of grinding. Chris Moorman from UK was the 2nd place finisher and he got a sum of €800,000 for his efforts.

      LADIES EVENT

      112 lady players had turned up for the €550 buyin event. The prize pool of €53,760 generated was distributed among the top 12 finishers. France’s Barbara Martinez managed to be the crowned lady, earning €16,128. This was a non-bracelet event so she missed the glory of having the prestigious bracelet. UK’s Eleanor Gudger was the 1st runner up and she received €9,968.

      CAESAR’s CUP

      Team Europe and Team America were up against each other for the Caesar’s cup. Representing American side was Phil Hellmuth, Jason Mercier, Ben Lamb, Johnny Chan and Daniel Negreanu joining him.Hellmuth was the captain of the American side. The European side was lead by Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier. He was joined by Jake Cody, Gus Hansen, Maxim Lykov and Tony G. Ultimately Team America took the Caesar’s cup.
