Belgian poker pro Davidi Kitai took down the 2012 EPT Berlin Main Event and €712,000.

With the victory, Kitai became the first Belgian to win a European Poker Tour event, and the fifth player to complete the so-called poker’s “Triple Crown”, which involves winning an EPT, WPT and WSOP title.

According to PokerStars Blog, the final hand of the tournament saw Davidi Kitai move all-in before the flop, and Andrew Chen calling with his last 2.455 million chips at risk.

Kitai showed K♦7♥, while Chen revealed A♦Q♥. The flop came down K♥6♠6♦ and Kitai took the lead by hitting the king. The turn was the 3♠ and that left Chen needing an ace on the river to stay alive.

The river was K♠ and Kitai took down the title. With the victory, Davidi Kitai is now nearing the $3m mark in live poker tournament winnings.
