Since this is not about play, but simply guessing the hand, I’ll try my hand at that.
As your bet was 4X pretty large from Button, I think he would call with Hands A5-AJ, rest I think he would shove or fold(if he has an Ace).
Pre-Flop: You bet almost half the pot, and he calls, even when there’s an Ace on Board.(Also, how much time he took to call, would help narrow it down further)
But, for our case, he can do it with A6(Trapping 2 pairs), AJ(I guess would raise), AT(difficult as you have the same hand), A7-A9(check-raise, rather than call) 66 possibility or AIR.Turn: He again check-calls the turn, his story now is getting pretty weak, it has to be A6 or AT, I have seen people do it with 99 JJ(but I guess he would re-raise these pre-flop, so rejected)
River: I don’t think he has A6, he would have raised turn rather than betting river, he wants to rep a 6, but that’s pretty tough since he called pre-flop 4X. I am thinking, he would have a read that you c-bet without hands, and that he would bluff the river without a hand to rep an Ace or nuts, so that you can’t call with 1 pair hands. But, I think this is total air, and he either has like 85o, JTo, QT, but I guess it’s an easy decision for you to call the river bet, you are getting 1:4 around.
It’s difficult to put on 1 hand, but I guess He has missed everything and had nothing IMO.
My thought process was also affected, as I knew that this hand was posted here, it had to be something different. -
