MemberWhat happens when an Indian poker player hits a big 5-figure score in an online tournament (say $50k)? Would it ever be possible to withdraw such a huge amount to an Indian bank account via an ewallet like Neteller?

Participantall online poker sites offer bank transfers, just check with your accountant and lawyer what to do when you win a big tournament. Withdrawing to Neteller shouldn’t be an issue, you can withdraw it using NET+ card or virtual net+ for online payments, or just transfer it to your verified bank account 🙂

Thanks for the response Jan. Ofcourse the issue isn’t with withdrawing the money from the sites or Neteller using the various withdrawals methods they offer. The issue is the legal implications of winning so much money and withdrawing it to the banks or via ATMs. Because as you know, in some states like Maharashtra, online gambling is a “banned offense” as per the Bombay Wager Act.
