In a historic observation passed by the Karnataka High Court, poker was recognised as a skill game in 2011 – a fact that was reinforced by the now famous ruling in October 2013. This has helped immensely in the build-up of a cohesive poker ecosystem in the city of Bangalore with backing from the Indian Poker Association, High 5 Poker Room and Royal Flush.

The House of Spew has entered the market to work with the above mentioned partners in Bangalore as well as various other stakeholders across India to elevate the players’ gaming experience and lend a new face to poker.

THOS stands for unbridled passion for the game of poker and is home to epic cash festivals, insane action, outlandish parties and legendary service. The House of Spew organizes Hold’em and Omaha cash game festivals with the first one slated to be in Bangalore between 20th and 24th March, 2014. There will be two on-ground live tournaments in association with PokerGuru on 20th as well as 21st March. The Cash Game Festival will start off simultaneously on 20th March in association with High 5 Poker Room

Here’s a look at the event schedule:

100+ players have already signed up with THOS from across India to fly in for the 5 day long festival and the lines are only getting longer! The House of Spew, in an effort to popularise the game and build a thriving poker community is rolling out a promotional offer for the 1st event in Bangalore. Called the Playcation offer, THOS in association with its exclusive travel partners, Travel Weavers, is providing free flights and accommodation for all players.

Young Gun – Aditya ‘Donkab0mber’ Sushant took down the 1st ever THOS MAIN event, today in Bangalore. An epic finale to a great tournament that saw players from Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore.

It’s only fitting that the background has Doyle’s words imprinted – “The only thing you need to play poker, is a chip and a chair. But to sit down and win against the best, you need a whole lot more.”

Congratulations to all players to who made it in the money! For a complete recap of all the action visit http://bit.ly/1gJxkEl
