PCA Super High Roller: Isaac Haxton and Viktor Blom in the lead after day 1

      Day 1 of the Super High Roller event ($100.000 buy-in NLHE) at the 2012 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure has come to an end at the Atlantis Casino and Resort.

      A total of 30 players registered for the tournament, and after two players (Bill Perkins and Jonathan Duhamel) opted to re-enter, an official 32 entries generated a prize pool of $3,136,000 with a first-place prize of $1,254,400.

      Heading into day 2, Isaac Haxton is leading the tournament with 1,240,000 in chips, just ahead of Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, who is in second place with 875,000 in chips.

      PCA 2012 Super High Roller: Viktor “Isildur1″ Blom makes the final eight.

      The 2012 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $100,000 Super High Roller is now down to final eight players, and what a final table it will be.

      To start of things, 2011 PCA Main Event champion Galen Hall will start the final table in a chip lead with 1.748 million in chips.

      In addition to Hall, Jonathan Duhamel, Daniel Negreanu, Scott “mastrblastr” Seiver, Mike “Timex” McDonald, Humberto Brenes, Dan Shak and Viktor “Isildur1″ Blom will all play in the final.

      It will be interesting to see can Blom score his first major live tournament win.

      Blom outlasted 30 of the best and most experienced live players in the world to take home $1,254,400 and the prestigious $100K title.

      The final table featured players like Daniel Negreanu, Jonathan Duhamel and 2011 PCA Main Event Champion Galen Hall, and in the Heads-Up play Blom outlasted Dan Shak.
