HI. Its been over two years 2+ years now since I have been playing poker. Was introduced to game by my friend Rahul who had attended his 1st ever tournament in CR somewhere around May 2011 and took me along to play IPC in June 2011. I still remember how foolishly I played my first live tourney with no online experience. Had just googled few rules about the game and was testing my luck. Only thing I knew was flop, turn and river and was constantly gazing at my mobile for hands ranking. Was lucky to double up within 20min when i shoved AKo from MP and was called by 10 10 from Btn by hitting A on river. But all my excitement short-lived when i busted with trip A coz i failed to read single card straight. Anyways that was history just fell in love with the game and on returning back from Goa decided to learn before I travel again to Goa.
I read Harrington got a PS account and started playing micro stakes on PS mainly SNG and tournaments in the range of 1-5 dollars. Almost all of 2012 went into learning the nuances of game. Played few live games again made final table of PGT KO in July and started closely tracking Indian poker circuit (Thanks to PGT site there is no other way to track Indian players) and watching videos of international poker curcuits.
So while my next step was to learn the game what I missed in 2012 was BR management. I use to use all my money won to play my next tournament of higher stake, which is where I was lost significant portion of my money. While I had read and known how important BR management was I never implemented in practise. So, while my game was improving day by day because of bad BR management i ended 2012 in red.
So 2012 was enough, I made a new year resolution for 2013 for taking poker seriously with all other things taking back seat. I deposited $ 500 on Jan 01, 2013 with a commitment and discipline that I need to play this game considering that this $ 500 what I have for playing poker for next 5 months. I invested in buying new IMac and IPad dedicated only for playing poker. Started following games of Venessa Selbst, Daniel Nagrenu and Phil Ivey & Phil Helmuth. And there was no turning back since then. Successfully managed to turn my BR from $ 500 to more than $ 3000 in 5 months time. Gradually moved from playing micro stakes (under 5) to stakes in range of $30. Biggest achievement in these 5 months was 4th place in Big 8.8 ($ 2500+).
The year till now in 2013 have really taught me importance of patience in the game. Its easy to build up BR slowly through cash games once you learn to play good but the real sense of accomplishment comes through running deep in tournament and making to FT. The adrenaline rush for me when I move to FT is incomparable to any other happiness in life. The hunger to win the title of tournament gives me motivation to live life. While my BR is positive I am still starving to get that title both online and in live game where I proudly say that I was the best in the tourney and not 2 nd best or 3 rd best. THE BEST IS YET TO COME AND I AM LIVING FOR THAT DAY.
I need to buildup my BR so as to be play play more LIVE events both in INDIA and International. I dream of the day where at least once in my life time I hold the bracelet of WSOP.
I feel PGT mentorship will help me in achieving my personal goals set up for my poker career. I always think of going PRO; but I am currently far from taking this hard step. I need to prove to myself that YES I can do it. Need lots of exposure which ADI and his team will surely be able to cascade through programmes like these. I feel PG programme will provide a strong community where one can share personal experiences. I personally feel that playing is one part of the game and analysing how one played plays equal role in improving the game. Platform like what ADI and team is setting will make the Indian poker community stronger.
I really look forward to be part of this programme. I am confident that the programme will be a motivator of upcoming players like me. Really expect to learn lot from this.

Hi Adi ,
I would like to be selected for Pokerguru mentorship program 3.
Name : N.S.Vishnukaran
Age : 24
Occupation : Poker pro (No other job /commitments)
City : Trichy , Tamilnadu
Education : B.E (Comp)
Screen name: GODMODE09 (stars)
I have been playing poker for about a year now full time . I started off with 20$ and have now saved up a 2k$+ roll that is required for PGMP .
I’m single and do not have any other commitments. Right now I’m grinding from my home and my parents are cool with it too .
I can easily spend 12+hrs everyday for playing and studying and I plan on putting in even more from August .
I have blogged in detail about my poker career earlier here. https://pokerguru.in/forum/entry.php?599-From-Nada-to-Prada... Please take a look.
MTTs have always been my favourite game format and I have been grinding a roll from DON sngs only to start playing MTTs full time . I don’t play cash or any other formats. I have been waiting for this for a long time now and I could’nt think of a better time to make the switch to MTTs completely.
You have mentioned that players should be primary MTT players with 6+ months of experience . I just want to say that I started playing MTTs , went busto few years back and realized I need a solid roll to make them my main format/only format. That is the sole reason I have been grinding DON sngs . I have a roll now.
I actually switched to MTTs on stars last month , played and posted a ton of hands hands here. I could’nt find any solid learning material and dropped a bit$$ and deicided to make the switch to MTTs from PGMP . So for the month of July , I decided to put a ton of volume playing DONs again and add 1-2k$ to my roll before PGMP as I felt 2k$ is a bit low to start playing MTTs for a full time player, so that during PGMP3 I can focus completely on learning and applying the concepts without worrying about variance/$$. I will still try to be active in the forum during this application process.
I have no problems posting quality blogs every now and then and I can also play future PGT in Goa.
I will attend all PGMP online classes without fail and won’t leave MTTs after PGMP as this is what I want to do.
I will quit DON sngs by july end completely no matter what.
Please consider me as an eligible candidate out of 10 and bless me with you talent . I promise to try my best and not to disappoint you.
I’m in the Poker guru.in skype group , if you want to know/ask any other details.
Thanks in advance.

HI, INTERVENTION I’VE BEEN TRYING TO GET IN THIS PROGRAM SINCE YOUR LAST TWO SUCCESSFUL SESSION I DON’T KNOW WHAT WENT WRONG.
I START FROM THE BEGINNING
MY SELF HIMANSHU SOLANKI A.K.A. INDIANSHINDIAN BEEN PLAYING POKER SINCE 2008 TO TILL DATE REGULARLY. I PLAYED FINE IN MICRO CASH GAMES ALMOST EVERY NETWORK. AND SCORE SOME PLACES IN MTTs BUT NOTHING BIG LIKE AWSOME I AM TRYING MY BEST BUT MOST OF THE TIME SOME DONK LUCK GET ME ALWAYS. ANY WAY THAT’S NOT AN ISSUE BAD BEATS HAPPEN TO EVERYONE LIKE YESTERDAY A PLAYER CALL MY RE-RAISE AND FLOP COMES Q,5,6 HE BET POT WHERE I WITH MY KINGS (KK) SHOVE ON THE FLOP AND AN INSTANT CALL BY MY OPPONENT I AMAZED TO SEE THAT HE PREFLOP CALL MY BIG RAISE WITH HIS Q6. I M STILL HOPING FOR ANY 5 OR RUNNING PAIR OR ONE OF THE KING, BUT SEEMS TO HAVE HE IS GUD LUCK WITH HIS HAMMER TURN COMES 6. RIVER I KNOW IT’S NOT WITH ME 7 AD HE WON ALL THE MONEY.
AMAZING THING WAS THAT HE WAS STILL BABBLING ABOUT HIS MARVELOUS PLAY, HE HAS NO REGRETS WHATSOEVER.
MY BEST QUALITY IS I CAN COUNT ODDS AND POT ODDS EFFICIENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY MOST OF THE TIME I FOLLOW MY ODDS ONLY DON’T CARE WHEN HOLDING PREMIUM HANDS. I CAN PLAY EASILY 8+ HOURS WITHOUT LOSING MY PATIENCE AND READY FOR THE PROGRAM TOO. I AM GOING TO KEEP TRYING FOR YOUR PROGRAM TILL YOU SELECT ME. THIS IS MY THIRD TIME TIME PLEASE MAKE IT WORTH.
these are the hands I uploaded durig my play.

I would like to congratulate pokerguru team for the outstanding work throughout.
My name is Shashank and i have been playing Poker since 2006. I started playing on PS in November 2011. I started by depositing 500$. By March 2012 I made about 28K USD, mostly playing SnGs and MTTs. During that time i was also running a consulting firm. My venture did not do very well and i ended up registering major losses.
My biggest enemy has always been myself. I have always done the mistake of playing outside my BR. Poor BR management is what i hope to counter and come out a winner. I would also like to strategize and plan my play when the day gets rough (Tilt). Although there is no excuse to my bad BR management and mess ups, I strongly feel that domestic issues at my end made a mess of everything around me. For instance i managed to finish 2nd in Hot 109 once. I on some 2700 USD that day and same night i registered for Super Tuesday for 1050 USD (Direct Buy-In). In game i did realize that i am not playing my usual game and was very scared getting involved in hands. I busted from the tournament within 3 hours.
I had an opportunity of playing under you for PGT season 3 in Dec 2012 wherein i finished 4th in the main event.
I have FTd Big 16.5 twice, Hot 109, finished 60th in Big 11, and finished 84th in Sunday Million.
Currently i am playing Poker full time (online). Until now i have always played on Pokerstars but i am now looking forward to playing on 888, FT and Unibet as well.
– I feel have edge in tournaments. I would consider myself as a good tournament player.
– Good hand reading skills
– I am an aggressive player
– Good understanding of HM2, Poker Stove and Poker Tracker
– Good understanding of Odds, Equity etc.
– Experienced in both live and online format.
– Can easily play long sessions without any sign of stress (12 to 16 hours)
– Experienced in Multi-Tabling
– Can adapt to any style depending upon table mood. I can easily switch from being tight agg to playing ATC.
I would be happy to share any other information in case the need be. Really looking forward to joining this programme. Good luck to your team for your future endeavors.

I am Saby…been playing poker for about 2 years now. I have had decent run goods but now i want to start playing well for a change. You know you are my hero for a long time now. there is nothing i would love more then the chance to work with you.

Im Dhaval Mudgal and would like to apply for PGMP 3.
I’ve been playing poker professionally for a bit now and feel that the smallest of conversations we’ve had have helped me improve immensely.
So I feel working towards improving in a focused and regular manner could be fantastic for my game.
Ive previously not had a chance to apply due to affiliation to other Poker companies, but as I am not associated with such anymore, I am jumping at the opportunity.
I’ve play most tourneys held in India and have played almost all editions of the PGT and done pretty decently at 3every edition.
I have the requisite bankroll online/live.
I feel that I need to work hard on my endgame and PGMP3 will be the perfect place for me to do so.
I play under dhavalzoso on stars.

This is Madan and I have been playing live poker for over a year now. During this time, I have had decent runs in most of the tourneys. While most of my learning has been through online forums, I want to have a more formal and focussed form of training and if the blogs/scores from the previous PGMP batches are anything to go by then this is the program I want to be part of.
While I have a full time job, I have been able to put in a hours of play for 3-5 days a week. I currently do not have any association with Indian poker sites/portals.
Hoping to be part of the PGMP3 program.

This is Gaurav Gala from Mumbai. I have been playing Poker online/live since 3-4 years. I have decided that i need to take d next step and play full time. I have the requisite bankroll that U have mentioned.
I have heard of this program from a lot of my friends who have been ur students; and I want to sincerely and religiously follow it and improve my MTT game. I have been a regular on d Goa tournament circuit but have not been too successful in any tournaments. I also went to Macau for the Red Dragon and played side tournaments and Main Event but wasnt able to cash out in any. I tried my luck in the 75k tournament in Sri Lanka as well but could not do much. This has made me more determined to succeed in MTT’s.
I have been able to just about get my costs out from d cash games but now my focus is only on Tournaments; Live as well as online. Kindly take this applicattion as a serious commitment from my end to the program.

NAME: Bishwanath Baheti
I started playing poker in the same year as my id says 2009.I learnt it from my college time and was very passionate about poker.I have played at casino royale and pride many a times generally cash games during my college period.I have also been staked by Mr. Sunil Singh for a month at casino royale for four weekends with his money, but unfortunately I left it due to some reasons like his rules and methods were very much theoretical rather then practical. He made me folded a set of QUEENS at casino royale saying that u don’t have nuts as an ace is on the flop and someone could have Aces when my opponent just bet 3k on the river, and the pot was some what around 12k.According to him all players are sharks and u should never put a chip into the pot until you got ABSOLUTE NUTS,but I always think being so safe is also foolish after all its POKER.
Well that was just a glimpse of my past experiences and memories. The main reason I want to join you is because I am not actually good at poker and bankroll management. If I was good like the other guys above why would I need a mentor. I can accumulate chips in mtts very well but somehow or the other during the middle phase of tourney I loose it all.Day and night I just dream and think about poker and I am kinda serious about poker. But I am really unable to make profit anyways.I never thought I would require a mentor but as I am unable to make it through I really felt the need of doing something serious.Recently I lost my bankroll due to bankroll mismanagement and so I am just taking a break now for some time.
I just feel that if I am selected for the program and if I am being guided by you,it may absolutely change my poker life.
At present I don’t want to boast of with my records or talent but just have this much confidence in mind that if you teach me I can do it better than any one else.I can commit that I will attend all your classes and will also attend future PGT in Goa.

Everyone, lets try and refrain from using CAPS all throughout our posts!!
July 19, 2013 at 9:34 am #36384N.S.VishnukaranMember
Yes .. and also try to blog our poker progress in our own words irrespective of how small or big stakes we play.
Guys , there’s really no point in just applying without even caring to blog or post some hands in the hand history section.
Lets be more active and I’m sure Adi will pick 10 players and start PGMP3, if he sees enough commitment in them.
If you are too lazy to even be active in the forum , you can’t expect a player like Adi to coach us for free.
So , put in the effort and show ur worthy to get the free coaching which is worth thousands of dollars.

I heard bout this site and this mentorship program through Prateek Bhartia (pb106) and Sahil Agarwal (antilog) who were parts of your previous mentorship program. I have been friends on skype with them for a long time now (almost 10months) so I have witnessed their progress pretty closely. I was impressed with how they were struggling at microstakes before and now especially after ur program and ur coaching their poker knowledge has hugely improved. Especially Sahil is a big success story imo as hes showing already 30k profit this year. So after hearing all those good things and since i have never been coached before I decided to give it a try.
About me: I m a student from greece and as u know we ve got economic crisis so ive been trying to make some money from poker with the hopes of eventually getting good enough at this game that ill be able to go fulltime pro. I had been playing poker recreationally for 2 years before deciding to fully focus on mtts. Since last summer ive been studying mtts and sngs alot and take actively part in skype groups discussing hands doing reviews etc and have had some success so far. I grind almost on a daily basis and am trying hard to improve my game so i hope that getting coached by a pro like you will give me the necessary boost in that direction.
My screennames at the sites i mostly play on:
I hope you will consider me.
