After the completion of two successful seasons of PokerGuru Online League (PGOL), the popular online poker tournament series is coming back for its third season on Adda52.com. Not only this, the third edition of PGOL will be much bigger and will feature larger prize pools than both its previous editions.
PGOL debuted in 2012 with bi-monthly tournaments on PokerStars Home Games with one goal i.e. to uncover the best upcoming online poker player of India. Each month PokerGuru members played the fortnightly schedule which rewarded the most consistent performers on the PGOL leaderboard with exciting prizes. Players earned points for their finish in the tourney and a leaderboard was formed. At the end of the tourney, a Player of the Year (POY) was declared who reigned atop the leaderboard. This player was entitled to prizes like entry to PokerGuru Tour (PGT) events, poker goodies and other exciting prizes. Calcutta boy Shawn ‘slammyjammy’ Chatterton won the inaugural 2012 PokerGuru Online League and the second season was topped by Visakhapatnam based Phalgun Korikana aka ‘Phalgun27’.
Keeping in mind the deposit limitations of Indian poker players at PokerStars, the third edition of PGOL will be hosted on Adda52.com, India’s biggest online poker site. This association between Adda52.com and Poker Guru is an extension of their well received Poker Pro Series which had 3 editions in 2013. With easy and secure payment methods and acceptance of all Indian credit/debit cards, poker players of India will find it easier to deposit money in an Indian site. Their excellent graphics and no-download software will ensure smooth game play. The large Indian poker player base of Adda52.com will also ensure high levels of competitiveness during the tourneys.
PGOL 3 on Adda52.com will have huge cash prizes for the winners with INR 50,000 reserved for the top 5 players on the leaderboard each quarter. That`s not all! The eventual winner of the annual PGOL leaderboard will win INR 1 lakh in cash prize.

The ongoing PGOL season 3 that commenced on 25th Jan with the mutual initiatives of both Adda52.com and PokerGuru has seen immense popularity till now. To retain this enthusiasm of its poker players, adda52 is now shifting the PGOL tourney to 23rd Feb, which was earlier scheduled for 22nd Feb, 2014.
Additionally, adda52 has decided to make it a tourney offering prize pool of INR 40k (minimum guaranteed) with a buy-in of just Rs.250.
As per Anuj Gupta, CEO of adda52.com, “For the ease of our users we have decided to shift the dates of PGOL as multiple tourneys are going on & many users are willing to be part of all these tourneys. In that case, it could be bit clumsy for them to manage their game play. So shifting the dates would be the right option”.
As per the details, the bi-monthly series of PGOL Season-III, 1st quarter, is scheduled from 25th Jan to 22nd March 2014. While there are many online poker tourneys that are going on at the same time, it would not be feasible for users to adjust their game play timings for multiple tourneys. Moreover, this would also affect the schedule maintenance of the online poker portal. Hence to cope with the situation, team adda52 has decided to alter the dates of PGOL. Hence the upcoming PGOL tourney date of 22nd Feb event has been postponed to 23rd Feb 2014 at 9:30pm.
NOTE: The schedule of other PGOL tournaments remains unchanged.
“Due to the schedule maintenance we are shifting the PGOL tourney. We apologize to our users for the inconvenience & are glad to announce that we will be offering prize pool of minimum guaranteed INR 40k in this event,” say the officials of adda52.com.
This would not only help the players to cope up with their poker playing schedule but also an opportunity to win bigger cash prizes. So, stop worrying & switch to India’s largest online poker site.
