PokerStars yesterday released the preliminary schedule for the 2012 SCOOP (Spring Championship of Online Poker). Like last year, also this year the SCOOP will feature three different buy-in’s in all of the tournaments (Low, Medium and High).
The SCOOP tournament series will kick off this year Sunday, May 6th and will culminate on May 20th with the Main Event.
The low version of the SCOOP Main Event will have a $82 buy-in, the medium version $700 buy-in and the high version $7,500 buy-in.
Despite the fact that American players were unable to participate last year, the SCOOP 2011 ended up with a total combined prize pool of well over $40 million, and we will see how many players the tournaments will attract this year.
Last year Finnish high-stakes pro Sami “LrsLzk” Kelopuro took down the SCOOP High Main Event title and $504,691,09.
