Macau Diaries – Pocket Kicks just wont hold up..
Posted by Sangeeth Mohan on 2011-05-30 at 12:00 AMSo we finally got to Macau, took a short nap and we were off to the Macau Poker Cup event number 1 which was the $3000 rebuy. First of all, Grand Lisboa is huge and the PokerStars Macau Poker Room is mind blowing. (I dint like the cards though, they dont use copag).
A few things about playing in Macau, If you are playing a tourney in Macau , you can expect a Pro or 2 at your table. My first table had Celina Lin (Team PokerStars Pro (Asia) )on Seat no: 1 and I was on seat no: 4. The tournament was a lil swingy for me. I won the first pot on my table with KQs ,lost a big pot with AKs, Won a big pot with KQs (flip with 33) and AK sucks out on my Pocket Kings.
Amit Varma lost with Pocket Kings to middle set on the flop and got busted.
Kcdesi got the classic cooler. He ran his Pocket Kings to Pocket AA. So Pocket kings havent worked for us.I hope it changes today. Yesterday was a day off as we dint have a tourney to play and we chilled out at the hotel.
