Finally, I am back home after a loooooong season of live poker. It started with Aces Unlmitted in August to MPCC in October. I intend to take a break for like 2 weeks and then return to Goa for Aces unlimitted, APT and the other tourneys there.
So as u know already, Macau did not go as expected but I was really happy with the way I played. I noticed there was a huge difference in the way I played this time, I was not scared, I was picking good spots and playing good Poker. Although this was a very bad performance as far as finishes are concerned, I am not really upset because I thought I played the best poker I ever played. Of course, there was a lot of learning too in this trip, but overall I would say this trip developed me as a player more than the last time.
I also would like to thank everyone back home for the support and encouragement u gave me when I was in Macau. And a huge thanks to intervention and my team for transforming me from a nit to what I am today. I love the way I play now a lot more than how I used to play before.
Overall this Macau trip was not as memorable as the last one, because of the results and also because I missed my team mates terribly. The last time we were there it was crazy fun, to hang out together, drink together, make fun of plays we made in the tourneys ( Amit varmas extreme mathematical moves, My super nitty moves ( at that time I atleast need ATss + to make a move lol,), KC’s advanced moves, Sushi never came, but he would have had his share too..). I missed that terribly this time and the only fun Rajat and I had was at 12 in the night I turn to him say ” Bhai , Bhook lag raha hain. Mcdonlads Chale.”?. lol. But overall the trip was fun and it had its moments. But I am sure the next time we go there as a team , it will be epic.
Also I think, this time the pressure got on to me a little as I was the only one and I was so keen on doing good. The last time when we went as a team it was better as one of us would be really deep or stacked up and it would give u a sense of confidence and happiness. But this time around that was missing, But I am sure, This was a huge learning experience in itself and it will definitely help me in the future.
Thats all for this edition of Macau Diaries and we will be back for more very very soon… I also intend to start a blog series for my next Goa trip scheduled for the end of the month .. Tune into PokerGuru for details…
