Daily Majors: Aayush Arya, Ayush Garg, Abhimanyu Mittal & Aditya Wadhwani Make a Killing in the Wednesday Flagships!
July kicked off with a surge of high-energy poker tournaments, but as the month progressed, the intensity simmered down to the routine flagship events, offering players a well-earned breather. This slower pace is projected to continue, as a significant contingent of regulars are currently busy at the 2023 APT Summer Series Da Nang.
Nevertheless, the excitement on the digital poker tables is far from dwindling. Pocket52`s ongoing Big Pocket Series and MPL Poker`s Steal Deal Series, specifically designed for micro-stake players, continue to inject an additional layer of exhilaration into the online poker scene.
Young Gun Aayush Arya was Wednesday’s standout performer, amassing ₹4.28 Lakhs from four deep runs. His crowning achievement was winning Adda52’s Maverick for the second time, earning a substantial ₹3.90 Lakhs just a few hours following a second-place finish in Spartan Poker’s Monster Stack, where he added ₹25,500 to his total earnings. The player ‘sonofmars1‘ also had a noteworthy performance, securing a substantial ₹2.21 Lakhs for his second-place finish in the Maverick.
Two-time The Millionaire winner, Ayush Garg, had an impressive day with three deep runs that netted him over ₹2.71 Lakhs. This included a top finish in Pocket52’s BPS#29 Avenger, earning him ₹1.85 Lakhs, and a runner-up finish in PokerStars India’s Monster Stack – Ticket Drop Edition, which supplemented another ₹72,658 to his total. ‘Kidpoker‘ performed admirably, finishing as the runner-up in BPS#29 Avenger and earning a respectable ₹1.30 Lakhs.
Pocket52 user ‘ProThatWasPromised’ claimed victory in the other Pocket52 flagship, BPS#28 Pocket Rockets, pocketing an impressive ₹2.63 Lakhs. ‘Farzi_pba2kw7jpc’ fell just shy of the top spot but secured a significant ₹1.88 Lakhs for second place.
Maintaining his winning momentum from Friday’s Chip up, Sandeep Asrani claimed the limelight with a splendid victory in Spartan Poker’s Destiny, securing a first-place prize of ₹2.57 Lakhs. Thanks to a three-way deal, Friday’s DPT Edition The Ballers finalist Siddharth Gangwar (2nd for ₹2.47 Lakhs) and Vaibhav Temani (3rd for ₹2.07 Lakhs) also walked away with sizable winnings.
Abhimanyu Mittal, a distinguished five-time IOPC title winner, seized his fourth title for the month in PokerBaazi’s The Pride, pocketing ₹2.32 Lakhs. He split the winnings with Kunal Agrawal, Monday’s BPS#18 Soda champion, who claimed a closely matched ₹2.32 Lakhs as the runner-up.
Aditya Wadhwani, a well-respected poker commentator, returned to the winner’s podium in grand style after a hiatus of nearly three months. Building on his second-place finish in Friday’s IMPS#98 HighRoller, Wadhwani emerged victorious in PokerBaazi’s WTF, garnering ₹2.16 Lakhs. A heads-up deal landed the user ‘akhil2301’ a personal-best ₹2.11 Lakhs as the runner-up.
Following a third-place finish in Tuesday’s Bounty Builder HR, the lawyer-turned-poker-pro Armaan Kochhar won PokerStars India’s Monster Stack – Ticket Drop Edition for the second time, securing a respectable ₹1.06 Lakhs.
Other Wednesday marquee winners included Mohak Kapoor (won two titles), Nitin Makkar, Pratik Gupta, Saurabh Rohila, Vikranth Varma, Rajneesh Thakur, Kushal Jain, Dinesh Jain, Rohit Malhotra, and Md Nazim.
