MemberCongrats on having an excellent series guys, I thought you guys did a great job.
I really enjoyed the multi format structure of events. I hope you guys keep the shootout and Knockout event and maybe add another different event like heads-up, 2nd chance, turbo, Pot limit omaha or a 6 handed event. Its great to see someone trying to offer something different and it would be great to have some more new formats.
Also please refrain to from inviting mr. goyal to these events, so everyone else gets a chance to take home some cool hardware 😛

AdityaThanks Adi … yes we will specialize in Multi-Format tourney’s and that will surely be a niche area for us.
As for Rajesh, well said, but, yaar we also need some practice, and playing with specialist like Goyal, we learn a lot …
Cheers …

MemberEnjoyed the Event. My best tournament experience in Goa thus far. Awesome mix of a professionally conducted event in a fair and friendly atmosphere. The sky is the limit for you guys.
As for possible improvements:
It will be nice if you can finagle a slightly deeper structure. A simple example would be an extra 25/50 level to start, and/or 30 minute rounds all through instead of 24 minute rounds after the first two.best of luck for all future events. looking forward to the next scrap!

MemberOh and I didnt play the rebuy event so I cant be sure, but generally the rebuys and addon are not raked.
The “90% of the collection” as prize pool seems to suggest that it was.
probably just an oversight. Something to consider for the future.

Hi again … we go buy the Tournament Director’s decision, and it was to take 10% of everything … but, let me check what is the general view on this by other people, and if it is so … we will do so as you suggest …. btw … pm me your real name, did I play with you on the same table as well?

MemberHi,
I think you should also add 5K freezout with the above format. Otherwise all the above format like shootout,knock-out bounty, etc is awesome…. If u add 5K freezout tourney to the above format, it will be the best amoung all……and Ill definately be participating…..

MemberDay 1 – 5K Freeze-Out – 100% on
Day 2 – 5K + 1K = 6K Knock-Out (Freeze-Out) – 80% on
Day 3 – 25K (Freeze-Out) Main Event – 50% on
Day 4 – 5K or 10K Shoot-Out or Rebuy – Still Thinking …And in between all this a Heads-Up tournament – 16 players capped is being considered for a high buy-in game.
Will announce soon … Any feedback on the above welcome …

We had given the Deepest Stack ever given by any other tourney Organizer, i.e.
For our 5K Rebuy we gave 3000 + 3000 + 5000
For our 12K we gave 6000
For our 15K we gave 7500
For our 20K we gave 10000For our Blind levels we experimented between 30 min to 20 min, and finally settled for 24 min, which worked quite well … if any suggestions on the above let me know, although we must say that there are some limitations to the above, in terms, of time, we have to get the tournament to end by 4 A.M. or worse come to worse 5 A.M.
Cheers

Hi Rajeev,
The original poster is actually correct. In rebuy events, rake is charged for only the initial buy ins. No rake is charged for any of the rebuys or add ons. This is how it is done all over the world. Please do take this up next time you hold an event because it does take a large chunk out of the prize pool! Thanx -

MemberThe standard format all over the world is to charge entry + fee
That is to say; 5,000 rupees + 500 (10% standard), though it is capped on larger buy-ins.
However it is dealer dealt tournament so I would expect a “slightly higher” % to cover their wages (not the casino’s rake and profit)
Freezeouts it does not matter, but re-buys are then only 5,000 rupees (no fee) which goes straight to the prize-pool.
The following is a general comment and may not apply ..
Blind levels should not be excessively fast early on creating “shove and double up” poker, antes should applied at the later stages as the blinds increase. Players will still be eliminated in plenty of time.
