      Hi!
I’m not much of a cash game player but what I see from the above is very passive play.
What were you waiting for? To get a trip or 2 pair?
I would have made a good raise on the flop something like $6 to take the down the pot. And in doing so might have saved you the bets on the turn and river.
At worse you can fold the turn if he comes back over you, since 4 pair is not that great.
Imho you were outgunned and you should have folded way earlier….but if your reasoning is correct (that he is playing too many hands and is firing with air) then you should have been way more aggressive in taking down the pot…also much earlier.
      My 2cents….

      Fold pre-flop

if you decide to smooth call that pre-flop raise then I agree with BabyShark put in a flop raise to $6
      if you get raised, fold
if you get called then re-evaluate on the turn but definitely avoid putting money in if you don’t improve.

Thank you so much. I shall use this info to improve my game. I wish i had raised the flop. Dont worry next time ill raise. I thought he was trying to triple range merge against me.

Since i learnt so much I shall start posting more hands from now on. Please evaluate them also. Pretty please.
