Late Dec 2014, WSOP released a teaser towards its 2015 schedule, along with the announcement of a new event “The Colossus”, with the lowest buy-in ever in WSOP history.

As promised, the organizers have now released the full schedule for the grandest of international poker series, the 2015 World Series of Poker.

Yesterday, Caesars Entertainment gave out the official schedule of events for the 2015 WSOP series. This will be the 46th edition, which will begin on Wednesday, May 27 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and feature a full schedule of 68 bracelet events.

The series will conclude with the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event, which will begin on Sunday, July 5 and end with the final table on Tuesday, July 14. As per the general format, the event will have three Day 1 flights and the same structure.

However, as mentioned in our last report on Jan 28, there will be a change in the payouts. After listening to the player feedback, the organizers have now announced two important changes in the payouts. If the entry field is the same or exceeds the 2014 mark of 6,683 players, all the top nine finishers, would be guaranteed a minimum prize of $1,000,000 each. Also, if the entry field crosses a minimum of 5,000 players, then the top 1,000 finishers will make it to the money.

Besides the above, 2015 WSOP will feature 11 new events this year and these include

– Tournament structures have also been tweaked to give players a better experience. Certain events have been scheduled around weekends to convenience players.

In all, this 2015 WSOP is ready to please players of all types and has three extra bracelets up for grabs this time.

As Ty Stewart, WSOP Executive Director sums it up,“If you’ve never thought about coming to Las Vegas for the WSOP, this is the year.
