The first player to book his seat for the heads-up finale was Michael Addamo, who played Michael Zhang. David Peters joined him sometime later, after defeating Alyssa MacDonald.
Michael Addamo v. Michael Zhang (Semi-Final)
It was quite the tug of war between the duo, with the chip lead changing hands several times. In the end, Addamo got the better of Zhang.
On the final hand, Addamo raised to 40,000 and Zhang 3-bet to 160,000. Addamo called to see the flop open . Zhang led out for 80,000. Addamo called, and the turn came . David Peters v. Alyssa MacDonald (Semi-Final)
The heads-up match between Peters and MacDonald lasted longer than Addamo and Zhang’s game. Peters took the chip lead very early before surrendering it to MacDonald for the next 30 minutes. It took 90 minutes and an exciting final hand to end the semi-final.
On the final hand, Peters opened to 76,800, and MacDonald re-raised it to 268,000. MacDonald led out for 177,408 on the flop and Peters called. On the turn, MacDonald bet 390,498.
