WSOP Online 2020: Robert Kuhn Claims 1st Ever Gold Bracelet in Event #3

Day 3 of the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online series saw Event #3: $400 No-Limit Hold’em register a 2,091-strong entry field (1,450 unique and 641 re-entries), generating $752,760 in the prize pool. Barnesville, Ohio native Robert “bustinballs” Kuhn was the last player standing, and he won his first-ever WSOP gold bracelet, along with a top prize of $115,850.

Kuhn has now joined Jonathan “Art.Vandelay” Dokler (Event #1 for $130,425.75) and Louis “PokeThese” Lynch (Event #2 for $168,585.95) in the elite list of WSOP online bracelet event winners this year.

Ranked #33 on the Ohio All-Time Money List, Kuhn is a WSOP Circuit ring winner, after he shipped the 2016 WSOPC Atlantic City Main Event for a personal-best score of $122,098. A former WPT and PCA champion, Kuhn presently has 11 WSOP scores, amounting to $133,945 in earnings.

He entered the final table in the chip lead and went on to eliminate WSOP’s all-time cashes leader Roland “prngls12” Israelashvili, “Doc33” and runner-up Ronald “rlksaces” Keren, before winning the title.

GGPoker Ambassador Daniel “DNegs” Negreanu’s hunt for the elusive seventh gold bracelet continues. He had a shaky start with “3Jane” crippling his stack to 9,736 in just the fifth level of the day. He managed to bounce back and went on to eliminate several players like “LuckBoxOU812”, Jared “JaragornGriener, Jamie “DanBilzerian” Kerstetter and Jeffery “Mahakala108” Gross.

During Level 23, “BoriusJack” doubled up through the Canadian pro, bringing his stack down to 55,187. Towards the end of Level 24, Negreanu’s was bested by Shane “Monkeyboy69” Howeth‘s , ending the former`s run in 210th place for $677.48.

The top 330 finishers were assured a min-cash of $602.20. The last player to fall out empty-handed was New Jersey’s Angel “ChromeKing” Lopez, who bubbled the tourney finishing in 331st place.

The well-known names who were able to cross the money line included Edward “Eddiegood598” Espino (11th for $7,452.32), Jackson “Actjacksn” White (15th for $5,796.25), Joey “JOEYdaMUSH” Galazzo (41st for $2,408.83), Ari “philivey” Engel (76th for $1,279.69), Mark “wiscomurray” Kroon (171st for $$828.03), Michael “miguelfiesta” Lech (235th for $677.48) and Matthew “Michmeister” Mich (298th for $602.20).

Indo-American players Sridhar “sri50k” Sangannagari and Ankush “rickrosstheb” Mandavia were also seen in action.

“GZMercy” bubbled the final table, placing 10th for $7,452.32.

The shortest stacked “AndrewFreund” moved all-in from the hijack and Max “ndirish50” Huster called over the top for 783,554 from the button. “AndrewFreund” tabled and Huster showed . The latter turned a full house on the runout, sending “AndrewFreund” to the rail in ninth place.

Three minutes later, Roland “prngls12” Israelashvili exited in eighth place when his were cracked by Robert “bustinballs” Kuhn’s .

At the start of Level 39, “pokeher2014” open-shoved for 1.64 Million from early position and “klubot” called over the top from the small blind for 3.9 Million.

Next to go was Evan “Escott121181” Scott in sixth place. In a four-way pot, Ronald “rlksaces” Keren raised from UTG to 320,000. The next to act, Kuhn called, while “Doc33” flatted the button. Scott called from the big blind to see the flop . Scott jammed for 2.67 Million, and “Doc33” called. Keren and Kuhn got out of the way.

“Doc33” seemed to go on a rampage soon after and five minutes later, they pitted their against Max “ndirish50” Huster‘s . The community cards revealed and “Doc33″s hand bettered to a two pair on the river, ousting Huster in fifth place.

“Doc33″s third victim on the FT was “klubot” when the latter’s was defeated by the former’s . “klubot” had flopped a pair of jacks, but “Doc33” spiked an ace on the river, eliminating “klubot” in fourth place. With this elimination, “Doc33” secured the chip lead with 13.34 Million under their belt.

Despite running hot for a while, “Doc33” couldn’t maintain the momentum and eventually bowed out in third place. The anonymous user’s were outlasted by Kuhn’s cowboys.

The heads-up began with Robert “bustinballs” Kuhn (23,508,145) commanding the lead against Ronald “rlksaces” Keren (7,856,855). In stark contrast to the heads-up finale of the previous two bracelet events, which were rather short-lived, this went on for a while as Keren put up a tough fight for more than an hour. In the end, however, it was Kuhn who claimed the title.

On the final hand, Kuhn opened for 800,000 and Keren 3-bet to 2.07 Million. Kuhn 4-bet shoved for 25.50 Million, and Keren called, putting their tournament life on the line.
