Day 1E of Event #77: $5,000 No Limit Hold ’em Main Event of the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) series is now in the books. Eighty-three players entered the fifth starting flight of the Main Event, and only 16 survived the day’s onslaught.
After 15 levels of play, Vlad “CheckEtoFold” Martynenko emerged as the end-of-day chip leader with a stack of 819,099. He also assumes the overall chip lead with Day 1A chip leader Samuel Vousden being pushed to the second spot.
Chris Brewer (557,457) and “calderOn77” (368,981) rounded out the top three stacks on Day 1E.
Other notables who carried forward their stacks included Arnaud Enselme (133,829) and former WSOP bracelet winner Stephen Chidwick (117,696) (cover image) and Brian “cuntpuntin33” England (97,728).
The 16 Day 1E survivors will join the 150 runners from the previous four starting flights on Day 2, taking the survivors’ list to 166. So far, no Indian player has made it to Day 2.
Day 1F starts at 7 PM UTC on August 21.
