The 2025 PGT Mixed Games at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas’s ARIA Resort & Casino is winding down, but the action is anything but subdued. The seven-event series had already crowned champions in top players like Nicolas Milgrom, Adam Friedman, Ryan Miller, and Chino Rheem. But Event #5: $10,200 Mori’s Mix belonged to Maxx Coleman (cover image).
Coleman, a mixed-games veteran with almost $5 Million in live tournament earnings since 2009, two coveted WSOP bracelets and a trio of WSOP Circuit rings, added a third prestigious PGT title to his resume and a cool $210,000. This win wasn’t just handed to him. He faced a field of 70 entrants, all eyeing a piece of the $700,000 prize pool. Only the top ten would see a return on their investment, adding extra pressure to an already tense atmosphere.
The final table was a battlefield of poker titans. Poker Hall of Famer and the event’s namesake, Mori Eskandani, finished runner-up, collecting $136,500.

Early at the final table, Eskandani delivered the first blow, sending Dzmitry Urbanovich to the rail in seventh place. Urbanovich, drawing to an eight, bricked out against Eskandani’s nine, earning $28,000.
Next to go was poker legend Daniel “Kid Poker” Negreanu, who got sixth place with $38,500 in his first final table of the year. Negreanu found himself with the nut flush on the river, but it was no match for Mike Gorodinsky’s full house, which was also made on the river.
Steve Zolotow‘s run ended in fifth place, falling to Eskandani’s pair of aces in Stud, taking home $52,500. While the eliminations continued, Coleman, who began the final table as chip leader, experienced a setback, dropping to the bottom of the counts four-handed.
But this is where the story takes a turn. Coleman’s resurgence started with the elimination of David Funkhouser in fourth place. Coleman made a seven-low in Razz, leaving Funkhouser drawing dead. That hand ignited a fire in Coleman. During three-handed play, he went on an absolute tear during the 2-7 Triple Draw rounds. He dominated nearly an entire orbit of hands, gathering almost 70% of the chips in play.
Mike Gorodinsky‘s exit in third place, courtesy of Eskandani’s turned kings-up, set up the heads-up showdown. Eskandani, fueled by momentum, briefly took the chip lead by hitting a perfect nine-seven in 2-7 Triple Draw. However, the high stakes, with limits reaching 300,000/600,000, meant fortunes could change instantly. Coleman regained control, making queens-up in Stud on seventh street.
He then cemented his lead with a seven Badugi, accumulating nearly 90% of the chips. The final hand was the perfect climax. In Hold’em, Coleman, with pocket sevens, spiked another seven on the river for trips. Eskandani, holding pocket queens, was out, settling for second place.

Leaderboard Standings
This victory not only boosted Coleman’s earnings but also sent him soaring up the 2025 PGT Mixed Games leaderboard to fourth place with 288 points. Event #4 winner Chino Rheem remains at the top, but Coleman’s performance intensifies the battle for the PGT Gold Cup and a $10,000 PGT Passport.
Notables like Benny Glaser (10th for $21,000), Jim Collopy (9th for $21,000), and Talal Shakerchi (8th for $28,000) all cashed but couldn’t reach the final showdown. Scott Seiver, making a rare appearance at PokerGO Studio, unfortunately, fell out on the money bubble.
With two events remaining, including the $10,200 Dealer’s Choice already underway, the PGT Mixed Games series is far from over.
