Shaun Deeb Wins WSOPC Turning Stone Main Event For Maiden Circuit Ring & $275,916

Five-time WSOP bracelet winner Shaun Deeb recently won his first WSOP Circuit ring after outplaying a vast 1070-entry field in the WSOPC Turning Stone Event. The American poker pro defeated Giyeon Han (2nd for $170,528) heads-up to win the $275,916 top prize.

Deeb’s Circuit victory follows his recent success in the opening $10K HORSE event at last month’s PokerGO Tour Mixed Games festival, where he won $208,800. He also finished fourth in a PCA $25K PLO High Roller for $121,500.

According to his Hendon Mob profile, the poker pro now has $11,560,638 in lifetime live earnings.

“I would hope I was the best player in the field,” Deeb told WSOP reporters after the win. “My ego says I’m the best, but it was actually tougher competition than I was expecting deep. People put me in some tough spots, I was three-betting a ton at this final table, way more than I thought I should have, but I think some of them caged me a little bit.”

The victory was special for Deeb, who started his poker career at Turning Stone Casino. “I’ve been coming to Turning Stone for 20 years,” Deeb said. “My grandmother and all my uncles and great-uncles used to come here all the time. My grandma was one of the most famous poker players in the $4/$8 Limit Hold’em game here. The staff were always amazing to her, this was always her favorite casino to go to.”

The $1,700 buy-in Turning Stone Main Event drew 1,070 runners, generating a prize pool of $1,621,050, and 153 players crossed the money line.
