Brazil’s Yuri Dzivielevski Joins partypoker, PokerStars Onboards Rafael Moraes
Poker is snowballing significantly in Brazil, making it one of the fastest-growing poker markets in the world. And to penetrate this burgeoning market, two top online poker sites – partypoker and PokerStars – have added Brazilian pros to their roster of brand ambassadors.
partypoker has signed on Yuri Dzivielevski, famously known as “theNERDguy” as its new Team Pro. PokerStars, in the meantime, has roped in another prominent player, Rafael Moraes, to its fold.
partypoker announced Dzivielevski’s sign-up on September 1.
We are pleased to announce our newest member of the partypoker Team Yuri “theNERDguy” Dzivielevski. ? Arguably the top online MTT player of Brazil, Dzivielevski is currently ranked as the number one online poker tournament player in the world. He was signed by partypoker hot on the heels of four Team Pros jumping ship.
Last year, Dzivielevski won his career-second bracelet in the WSOP Online Event #42: $400 PLOSSUS, in addition to a MILLIONS Online High Roller event on partypoker.
Fellow countryman Rafael Moraes boasts of a long-standing poker career dotted with accomplishments. He is a partner-instructor at 4bet Poker Team and joins PokerStars approximately a month after the brand onboarded Raise Your Edge founder Benjamin ‘bencb789’ Rolle.
Chris Moneymaker Joins Gaming-Friendly E-Wallet MuchBetter
Who doesn’t know Chris Moneymaker? The poker player is credited to have caused the poker boom in the US – also called the “Moneymaker Effect” – after his dream run in the 2003 WSOP Main Event. A middle-class accountant who won his WSOP Main Event seat through an online $86 satellite only to beat the best players in the world to win a life-changing $2.50 Million – this and that dream surname was all that was needed to take poker mainstream. The story flashed across US screens for months, leading to unprecedented exposure for the game.
PokerStars signed up Moneymaker soon after his iconic victory, and he served the company for 17 years before parting ways in January 2021. The very next month, Moneymaker joined the U.S-facing poker site Americas Cardroom (ACR).
The former world champion has found himself a second sponsor in leading European e-wallet digital payments provider MuchBetter.
It`s hard to ignore, but this collaboration comes close on the heels of Moneymaker’s bitter public spat with PayPal that broke out in May. The legendary player had called out PayPal for freezing his account for six months and seizing his balance on the grounds that he was flouting the site’s anti-gambling policy. He even initiated the process to launch a class-action lawsuit against the company.
Marking the new collaboration, MuchBetter has announced a new promotion, offering players to open a MuchBetter account for $86 – the same amount MoneyMaker paid to get into the WSOP Main Event. Three lucky winners who do so will win a $10K tournament ticket to play the WSOP Main Event, flight tickets, accommodation, and poker training sessions with Moneymaker.
MuchBetter tweeted the promotion.

Talking about the promotion, Moneymaker said – “When I deposited that original US$ 86, I had no idea where it would lead. I’m really looking forward to meeting our winners and working with them to write the next chapter of their poker story and excited to see where it takes them.”
MuchBetter has many accomplished sports stars representing it, like boxer Connor Lynch, the 2016 Italian Rio Olympian Guido Vianell, and athlete Gilly Flaherty.
The brand is also being represented by German coach and streamer Felix Schneiders.
In July, MuchBetter won the “Innovation in Payments Solutions” award at the EGR B2B Awards for the second year in a row.

Elias, one of the biggest crushers of the game, has over $8 Million in online winnings.
He also happens to be the player who can boast of winning the most WPT Main Event titles, i.e., four. Elias has also made it into numerous more final tables, won many side events, and is considered one of the best players in the world yet to win a WSOP bracelet.
Welcoming Elias onboard, the Vice-President (Gaming) of BetMGM, Matthew Sunderland, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome him to the partypoker US Network team and look forward to working together to elevate our brand and drive awareness for the WPT Online Borgata Poker Open and beyond.”
Elias will not only represent the partypoker US network across the network sites and promote online events in live US markets, but the association also allows Elias to actively promote poker in his hometown, New Jersey.
As a start, Elias will be seen promoting the partypoker US network in the upcoming WPT Online Borgata Poker Open scheduled to run from September 19 to 21 in New Jersey. The tournament will be hosted on the BetMGM Poker, partypoker NJ, and Borgata Poker sites that require players to be physically present in the US state.
Predicting that the upcoming WPT event will be a big crowd puller, Elias said, “As partypoker US Network continues to expand, I’m excited to grow with them and bring accessible, championship-level online poker to players across the US.”
