WSOP Europe 2017 champion Martí Roca has joined the Spanish edition of 888poker as its new brand ambassador for poker. The move comes in wake of 888poker’s efforts to make a deeper foray into the European markets through new European shared liquidity rules that now allow the site to combine player pools across Spain, Italy and Portugal.
Roca who have been active on live poker field since 2013 and has won an approximate $1.3 Million in live tournaments will help 888poker promote and grow its poker offerings in the Spanish and Italian online gaming market.
An official statement by 888poker describes Roca as “A player who fits perfectly with the philosophy of the game recreational we promote from 888.”
888 Holdings that is counted as one of the top online gaming companies in the world has registered an encouraging growth in the Spanish market and intends to dig deeper into Italy where it already has a presence in Casino and betting and launched the poker offer only recently, in January 2018.
Roca will be making his debut appearance as a Team 888poker pro at the Main Event live tournament circuit, 888Live Barcelona that will be held from May 31-June 4. Later he will spearhead a special promotional campaign for 888poker targeting recreational players and will attend the National Poker Circuit in Bilbao, Alicante and Madrid.
The erstwhile professor of economics who recently opined that, “Poker should leave the casinos and be considered a game of mental ability”, will be soon heading to Vegas to participate in the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
