Less than a month since Praveen Dwarkanath parted ways with partner Santosh Suvarna and the Adda52 LIVE Rockets Poker room at Bengaluru, news has now come of Adda52 choosing not to renew its contract with the Rockets poker room for another term.

Adda52 had tied up with the Rockets poker room in mid-2015 as an extension of its online brand into live tournaments. The venture had been a great boost for Bengaluru players, with attractive tournaments, huge guarantees and professionally serviced events that had large player pools.

The contract had been for one year and was up for renewal. Anuj Gupta, Founder & CEO of Adda52.com stated that “The association was for a year and we enjoyed the experience.

As an explanation towards the parting, he added, “We would like the new management of rockets poker room to settle down and then explore any synergies later.”

On the fate of further live tournaments, Gupta said that “We are exploring what is the right way to provide the best live experience to poker players in Bangalore and other cities.”

Ever since it was founded by Rajeev Raut and Suvarna, the Rockets Poker room has been plagued with partnership issues. Raut left last year and was followed by Dwarkanath in early May. The parting in both cases was over differences between the partners in managing and administration of the room.

Gupta hinted at the possibility of another new tie-up or collaboration with a live venue but we can only wait and watch. As for the Rockets Poker room, it remains to be seen whether they will form a new alliance with an online operator or get a new partner onboard the management!
