Adda52 & Rockets Poker Room Partner To Present ‘Adda52 LIVE’ – New Poker Series Starting July 31

The poker scene in India is clearly on the upswing, with several developments occurring across the country and now, there is one more news to gladden the hearts of players, especially those in Bengaluru.

Adda52, one of India’s largest and oldest poker sites has tied up with the Rockets Poker Room, Bengaluru’s leading poker room, to launch a tournament series called the Adda52 LIVE, with lakhs in prizes.

Adda52 has been a pioneer in promoting the sport of poker in India, with various promotions and is hugely popular, with a massive membership of over six lakhs registered users.

The site recently sent a 10-member strong team to WSOP, where one of its “Fly to Vegas” beneficiaries Muthukumar Rajagopalan participated in the $10,000 Main event and went on to min-cash the event for $15,000.

Rockets poker room was relatively late entrant in the Bengaluru live poker scene, but ever since its launch it has been at the forefront of the industry, with several new initiatives and its very own poker series. Despite the sprouting of numerous poker rooms across the Garden City, Rockets not only maintained its distinct identity, but also became one of the premium places for aspiring players in the city.

Recently, the poker room has been in the news with Rajeev Raut parting ways with partners Praveen Dwarkanath and Santosh Suvarna. Dwarkanath and Suvarna have now tied up with Adda52 and the room will host the Adda52 LIVE series, starting July 31.

This initiative by Adda52 will certainly encourage more traction between live and online playing. Adda52 has already held some of the largest guaranteed online tournaments and is seeking to repeat the same with live events.

The news of the collaboration was made through a social networking site by Adda52 on July 24, stating,

Here comes an Invitation for you to be a part of “Inaugural INR 8 Lakh Gtd Event” scheduled to take place from 31st July- 2nd August 2015. ‪#‎Adda52LIVE ‪#‎BangalorePoker”

The first event will be on July 31 with an ₹1 Lakh guarantee and a buy in of ₹1,000.

The Main Event on Aug 1 is an ₹5 Lakhs GTD event, with re-entry allowed till Level 5 and a buy-in of ₹6,000.

Apart from this, there will also be an ₹2 Lakhs GTD Event, with a buy-in of ₹2,000 on Aug 2.

Tournament Details

The tournaments will have a 15% fee that will be waived for all Adda52 players who have made a deposit of ₹5,000. Similarly, all players at Rockets who have played cash games and deposited a minimum of ₹5,000 will also get the 15% fee waiver.

That`s not all, Adda52 will reward all its Platinum and above players with complimentary three-nights stay on double-sharing basis, on buying into the complete series.

There will also be a Sunday Loyalty Freeroll at 2 pm. In this, the Top 10 finishers will receive ₹10,000 each for redemption at the tournament or at the cash tables at Rockets poker room!
