It was a fabulous Friday on the virtual felts with almost all the majors smashing their advertised guarantees. The biggest guaranteed tournament on offer was Spartan Poker’s The Elite ₹25 Lakhs GTD which crowned a champion in the one and only – Aditya ‘SuperuSer’ Sushant. The WSOP bracelet winner was in sublime form last night as along with the title victory, he enjoyed two more deep runs, in the PPL #37 ₹10 Lakhs GTD (32nd for ₹6,806) and the PPL #39 PLO DST ₹5 Lakhs GTD (6th for ₹26,786) respectively.

TGIF ₹10 Lakhs GTD was the other popular event hosted on Spartan Poker last night which was won by Vivek ‘KasolHieghts’ Singh for ₹1.94 Lakhs. Meanwhile, ‘Lazyman’ took down the ₹6 Lakhs GTD Daily Hi-Fi for ₹1.54 Lakhs while ‘pgp282’ topped the Ultimate PLO ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹68,750.

The PokerBaazi Premier League (PPL) is nearing the home stretch, and last night the series crowned winners in four high-value events. Headlining the list was ‘Acesunited’ who transcended across a gigantic field of 1,195 entries (754 unique and 441 re-entries) to ship the PPL #38 ValueTown ₹15 Lakhs GTD for ₹3.01 Lakhs.

Up-and-coming MTT player Vishal ‘Vishallb22’ Bajaj put up another applause-worthy performance last night as he reigned supreme in the PPL #37 ₹10 Lakhs GTD, claiming a ₹2.19 Lakhs payday for outlasting 349 entries (197 unique and 152 re-entries).

Jimmy ‘jeeven’ Arora (PPL #39 PLO DST ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.33 Lakhs) and ‘yagyavalk’ (PPL #36 6-Max ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹44,421) were the other two winners on PokerBaazi’s PPL roster yesterday.

The PPL has just two more days to close and there are still a total of nine events that are yet to play out. While the PPL #42 M.E. Warm Up ₹20 Lakhs GTD and PPL #43 6-Max Megastack ₹10 Lakhs GTD are the events to watch out for later today, Sunday will bring another two blockbuster tournaments – PPL #47 BSS SuperStack ₹30 Lakhs GTD and PPL #46 The MoneyMaker ₹1 Crore GTD. Similar to how the PPL #35 High Roller 6-Max ₹70 Lakhs GTD stopped play when the six-handed final table was reached on Thursday night, The MoneyMaker will also play down to the final table tomorrow night which will then resume play on October 8 at the PokerBaazi LIVE poker room onboard the luxurious Casino Pride 2. The fire-cracking finish to the PPL will act as a precursor to the much-awaited second edition of the Baazi Poker Tour (BPT).

Coming back to last Friday’s events, Adda52’s Friday bonanza, The Ballers ₹15 Lakhs GTD, was able to finally bring some respite for the overlay ridden site, in fact, the event successfully decimated its guarantee, posting ₹15.82 Lakhs in prize money via 231 entries (143 unique and 88 re-entries). Ragesh ‘ragesh91’ Mishra championed the event, pocketing ₹4.34 Lakhs in first-place prize money. ‘xoredvoid’ bagged ₹69,053 for winning the Hexagram ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD.

PokerStars India seems to be gaining ground and fast with its major tournaments consistently crushing the prize pool guarantees. Uppercut Progressive KO ₹8 Lakhs GTD continued the momentum by registering ₹9.16 Lakhs in the prize pool through 229 entries (108 unique and 121 re-entries). ‘_m0nk21’ skyrocketed to the top of the field, netting a winner’s payout of ₹1.64 Lakhs. Armaan ‘armaan007111’ Kochhar captured the title in the 6 – Max NLHE ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹38,622, following a heads-up chop.

On 9stacks, Anuj ‘brockLesnar95’ Yadav was declared the champion in the StackUp @8 PM ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD and walked away with the ₹65,000 top prize.
