On the heels of a blistering performance by Team India at World Poker Tour (WPT) Vietnam, we are now gearing up for another spectacular showing by our Indian challengers at the 2018 Asia Poker Tour (APT) Vietnam.

Headlining the team`s performance at WPT Vietnam was Dhaval Mudgal, who finally won that elusive international title in the Main Event for VND 2.42 Billion (~₹76.02 Lakhs). MadOverPoker pro Zarvan Tumboli got the team off to a flyer by winning the Ho Chi Minh Cup for VND 246,950,000 (₹7.70 Lakhs) and the series ended on a high note for the Indian challengers with stellar runs from Sumit Sapra and Rubin Labroo. With the APT Vietnam in the offing, a large part of the Indian contingent stayed back in the south-Asian country, resulting in low turnouts at the ongoing Baadshah Gaming Live Tournament (BLT3) series in Goa.

APT Vietnam began on October 5 and will run till October 11 at the Pro Poker Club in Ho Chi Minh City. Comprising of 11 events, the series will debut the “Short Deck” No Limit Holdem Single Day (Shot Clock) on the final day. With the Main Event boasting of a VND 6 Billion guarantee, APT Vietnam is sure to pull in the crowds!

Railbirds can look forward to more exciting action with top pros Sahil Agarwal, Raghav Bansal and Kunal Patni kicking off the Indian campaign in style. While Agarwal and Bansal featured among the top 3 stacks in the CoinPoker Super High Rollers, Patni was placed second in chips after Day 1 of the Monster Stack.
