What a phenomenal Sunday it was! Spartan Poker’s first Millionaire tourney of August witnessed Young Gun Arsh Grover etch his name in the annals of poker history by becoming just the sixth player to win a second Millionaire title! He defeated Kunal Vohra (runner-up for ₹9.62 Lakhs), heads-up to clinch the title, and ₹17.78 Lakhs (cumulative) top prize!

Arsh Grover now joins an elite club of two-time Millionaires that comprises Manoj Pentakota, Phanindra Akkina, Sriharsha Doddapaneni, and Manish Lakhotia. The Delhi-based pro also picked up seven more deep runs yesterday, ending with ₹18.56 Lakhs in Sunday winnings.

The second edition of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Online India series also culminated last night. The showstopper of the series, the APT Main Event, crowned a champion in Subhayan Das, who took home a career-best ₹15.17 Lakhs for his outright victory. ifeelitcoming captured the runner-up position for ₹13.45 Lakhs following a heads-up deal.

Team PokerGuru once again dominated the virtual felts. While PokerGuru Ambassadors Rony Chowdhury (Won WPT Super Stack for ₹7.65 Lakhs) and Ashish Ahuja (Won WPT 3000 for ₹3.95 Lakhs) clinched WPT trophies, their fellow team members, Laksh Pal Singh, Kartik Ved, Arjanveer Singh Chadha, and Gokul Raj, posted FT scores in various flagships!

Veteran pro Anant Purohit picked up his career-second WPT title in the WPT India Bounty Championship for ₹7.35 Lakhs.

Sreekanth Narayan, Anmol Agarwal, Sanjay Chauudhury, Randeep Lather, Karan Sitlani, Vishal Ojha, Rajesh Kumar Shukla, Kamal Punjabi, and Mohammad Azhar won the other Sunday marquees!

Spartan Poker

The first Millionaire tourney of August gathered 2,012 entries (Day 1A – 342, Day 1B – 302, Day 1C – 320, Day 1D – 499, and Day 1E – 549) over five starting flights to surpass its listed guarantee by ₹60,000. Day 2 began Sunday at 10 PM with 274 qualifying stacks (Day 1A – 50, Day 1B – 38, Day 1C – 38 Day 1D – 72, and Day 1E – 76) that included 190 unique players.

After a little over six hours of play, the former IOPC Super High Roller runner-up Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover emerged as the latest Millionaire champion netting a cumulative ₹17.78 Lakhs from three ITM scores in the event. This win was the second time this year that Grover championed The Millionaire. On February 14, he had won The Millionaire title for the first time for ₹13.93 Lakhs.

Yesterday, Grover scored in seven more events earning a collective ₹18.56 Lakhs. His stats: Lifetime Winnings – ₹8.76 Crores | Lifetime Profits – ₹4.41 Crores

Kunal ‘kvohra’ Vohra placed runner-up and ITM-ed one more time in the event to earn ₹9.62 Lakhs cumulatively.

The weekly Sunday bonanza, the ₹40 Lakhs GTD Sunday Superstack, logged in 389 entries, overlaying a negligible ₹1.1 Lakhs. Spartan Poker user TejuHel championed the event for a personal-best (on Spartan Poker) ₹8.02 Lakhs after beating the former The Millionaire United third-place finisher Vinayak ‘haayegarmi’ Bajaj (runner-up for ₹5.33 Lakhs) heads-up. The champion ‘TejuHel’ now has ₹22.38 Lakhs in MTT scores on Spartan Poker with ₹4.43 Lakhs in site-profits.

MTT pro Chirag ‘chilling’ Sodha finished ITM in a total of ten events yesterday for a cumulative ₹5.85 Lakhs. These scores included a title win and FT scores in three more events.

The anonymous ‘allinpavbaji’ shipped the ₹8 Lakhs GTD Money Heist for a personal-best (on Spartan Poker) ₹1.12 Lakhs, following a four-way deal with Rajeev ‘7even9ine’ Chaudhary (runner-up for ₹1.04 Lakhs), ‘rajatrm1’ (3rd for ₹97,829), and Jimmy ‘brahmos999’ Arora (4th for ₹96,588). The event attracted 794 participants, resulting in a ₹8.73 Lakhs prize pool. The champion ‘allinpavbaji’ now has ₹1.77 Lakhs worth of scores on Spartan Poker with ₹98,373 in site-profits.

‘VerbalDiarrhea’ (Won ₹2 Lakhs GTD Sunday Kick-off for ₹35,089), ‘PacificTrawler’ (Won ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD Sunday Night Rider for ₹34,583), and ‘Seboraptor’ (Won ₹2 Lakhs GTD Reloaded for ₹37,716) championed the other Sunday marquees.



The second edition of the ₹8 Crore GTD Asian Poker Tour (APT) Online India is finally in the rear-view mirror. With a turnout of 25,531 players, the series handed out prizes worth over ₹8.07 Crore across 44 events. A total of nine tourney winners grabbed APT Trophies and two locked-up APT rings.

Sunday proved to be the biggest day of the online stop hosted on PokerBaazi and featured six tournaments headlined by the ₹1 Crore GTD APT #49 Main Event. The tourney made a four-day run, bringing in 1,465 players via four starting flights, collecting a humungous ₹1.03 Crore – the most giant prize pool witnessed at the stop. Only 215 players qualified through to Day 2 that ran from 7.30 PM to 12.49 AM.

Cutting his way past the competition was Subhayan ’arjun100’ Das, who picked a career-best ₹15.17 Lakhs up top after shaking hands on a heads-up deal with ‘ifeelitcoming’ (runner-up for ₹13.45 Lakhs). Das, who had qualified for Day 2 from Day 1A, had won eight tourneys in the past, headlined by him winning Adda52’s The Mint for ₹3.75 Lakhs this year, on April 6. All of that is overshadowed by his latest victory that has boosted his poker bankroll to ₹29.99 Lakhs!

The star-studded FT included Pranay ’5pranay’ Chaudhry (4th for ₹5.99 Lakhs), Kaushik ’kaushik1989’ Tibrewal (6th for ₹2.95 Lakhs), Young Gun Sanat ’mehro2511’ Mehrotra (7th for ₹2.17 Lakhs), and APT Super High Roller champion, Rajat ’LungFakeer’ Sharma (8th for ₹1.75 Lakhs).

The ₹15 Lakhs GTD APT #48 BIG Knockout began at 6 PM and brought in 663 entries to collect a guarantee-smashing ₹16.58 Lakhs. Former Millionaire champion Sreekanth ’n0thing’ Narayan proved the last player standing and his career-first APT title for ₹3.06 Lakhs, beating Young Gun Devang ’Laila’ Yadav (runner-up for ₹2.15 Lakhs) to the finish line.

Narayan also collected 16 bounties to earn an additional ₹16,000, bringing his winnings in the tourney to ₹3.22 Lakhs. His stats: Lifetime Winnings: ₹3.80 Crores | Lifetime Profits: ₹1.38 Crore

Devang Yadav, who had FTed the WPT Superstack Classic last Friday, added three more cashes to his kitty to rake in ₹2.40 Lakhs yesterday. He presently sits with over ₹3.73 Crore in lifetime cashes.

Over at the 8 PM slotted ₹10 Lakhs GTD APT #50 Megastack, a total of 577 ponied up the ₹2,750 buy-in, leading to a prize pool collection of ₹14.43 Lakhs. Former ATOC Helios and The Mint champion Anmol ’freakweird0’ Agarwal toppled the competition to collect a career-first APT title for ₹2.73 Lakhs, defeating Jimmy ’jeeven’ Arora (runner-up for ₹1.91 Lakhs) heads-up. Agarwal sits with ₹84.36 Lakhs in lifetime cashes.

The 4.30 PM APT #47 Monsterstack featured a ₹10 Lakhs guarantee, a mark it quickly crossed on the back of 753 entries. In the final showdown, ‘SatyenTrehan’ pipped the APT #2 Monsterstack and APT #33 Timebomb champion Rising Star Aman ’KarmaPoker’ Parakh. Parakh picked up a runner-up score of ₹1.43 Lakhs.

Sanjay ’raskolnikov’ Chauudhury bested the 536-player field in the ₹7 Lakhs GTD APT #46 Hyper to take it down for ₹1.36 Lakhs. Shubham ‘BamBhole3796’ Tyagi finished runner-up for ₹95,340.

The last tournament on the APT Online India lineup was the ₹8 Lakhs GTD APT #51 Afterparty. Randeep ’randysingh’ Lather shipped it for his first APT title and a career-best score of ₹1.97 Lakhs, with Guruprasad ’fish_calling’ Gupta settling for a runner-up payday of ₹1.38 Lakhs.

Gupta also FT-ed the APT #48 BIG Knockout, where he placed fourth for ₹1.02 Lakhs and was seen making eight more ITM finishes for a collective ₹3.34 Lakhs, growing his lifetime winnings to ₹3.79 Crore.

Karan ’Collingwood’ Sitlani (Won Turbo DST ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹42,250) also claimed a win on PokerBaazi yesterday.

The action-packed APT Online India stop has come to a standstill and standing tall as the Series Leaderboard topper was Vinay ’vinay09’ Rajpal. Rajpal, who made it to Day 2 of the APT Main Event, was eliminated early but could min-cash, finishing in 113th place. Rajpal, who played 40 tourneys and cashed out in 27 of them, extended his lead on the Series Leaderboard despite his early exit.

The IOPC-The Crown eighth-place finisher is the only player to claim three titles, namely the APT #12 PLO, APT #28 Megastack, and APT #34 Knockout. Rajpal has walked away as the APT Player of the Series (POS) title with ₹6 Lakhs (RCB), alongside an APT Trophy, an APT POS ring, and a luxury watch.

Aman ’KarmaPoker’ Parakh won ₹4.70 Lakhs in RCB for coming second, while TLB crusher Bhanu ’Chennaino1’ Prakash rounded out the top three on the leaderboard and pocketed the prize of ₹3.50 Lakhs (RCB).

Day 8 of the WPT India Online series had a staggering 11 tournaments on the schedule, with nine crowning champions.

The day’s highlight event was the ₹30 Lakhs GTD WPT Super Stack that saw PokerGuru Ambassador Rony ‘fish4life’ Chowdhury claim his career-first WPT trophy for an impressive ₹7.65 Lakhs payday. Chowdhury, in fact, ran deep in three more tourneys, raking in close to ₹10 Lakhs in Sunday winnings. His other ITM finishes include:

The next big guaranteed event on the roster was the ₹20 Lakhs GTD WPT India Bounty Championship. Since the start of August, seasoned pro Anant ‘pro_baba’ Purohit, had picked up several FT finishes in marquee tourneys, but the title win had evaded him. Last night, he got the monkey off his back and claimed his career-second WPT trophy in the WPT India Bounty Championship for a whopping ₹7.35 Lakhs (includes ₹1.45 Lakhs in bounties) paycheque. PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer ‘arjan30’ Singh Chadha fought hard to secure the title but ultimately settled for a runner-up finish worth ₹4.14 Lakhs (includes ₹57,911 in bounties).

Anant Purohit raked in ₹8.14 Lakhs in Sunday earnings on the back of five ITM finishes. He now has ₹7.21 Crores in tracked online winnings, with a net profit of ₹2.57 Crores.

Arjanveer Singh Chadha missed out on getting the title, but his teammate and flatmate, PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja, championed the ₹15 Lakhs GTD WPT 3000 for ₹3.95 Lakhs. The Lawyer-turned-poker pro picked up his second WPT title of the series and his third overall. With a total of seven ITM scores, Ashish Ahuja pocketed ₹5.11 Lakhs in winnings.

Dhinesh ‘dinzy009’ Kumar came in second for ₹2.25 Lakhs, and Vinay ‘ContemporisT’ Bk claimed the third spot for ₹1.54 Lakhs.

Vishal ‘darky012’ Ojha outlasted Aniket ‘WhiteRabbit’ Sharma (runner-up for ₹1.50 Lakhs) in the heads-up match of the ₹10 Lakhs GTD WPT Monster Turbo, walking away with a ₹2.62 Lakhs top prize. The event logged in 428 entries, overlaying ₹26,300.

The ₹8 Lakhs GTD WPT Lazy Sunday was shipped by Rajesh ‘rajesh_asi’ Kumar Shukla for ₹1.98 Lakhs, while Suresh ‘insanium’ Kolli finished runner-up for ₹1.20 Lakhs.

The eighth starting flight of the ₹1 Crore GTD WPT Unreal collected 554 entries, with only 67 runners surviving the day’s onslaught. Mohan ‘DrunkBoy’ Das (473,819), ‘harshsingh006a’ (456,991) and ‘AnachronoX’ (303,377) secured the three biggest stacks of the day.

Day 1A of the ₹50 Lakhs GTD WPT India Mini Main Event ran from 7:30 PM to 11:17 PM. The ₹999 buy-in tourney pulled in 232 entries and 20 players made it through to Day 2. ‘rraja007’ (428,053) emerged as the end-of-Day 1A chip leader, with Biplob ‘hellhell’ Rana (299,145) and ‘punjabimunda7489’ (294,355), rounding out the top three stacks.

PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Ahuja (570 points) jumped up to the top spot on the WPT Mega leaderboard standings after Day 8. Raghav Siddalanga (520 points) held on to his #2 rank, while PokerGuru Staking’s Ankit Wadhawan (447 points) dropped down two places to #3.

The biggest draw on PokerStars India last night, the ₹15 Lakhs GTD Sunday Special – Progressive KO was taken down by Kamal ‘kamalpunjabi’ Punjabi who walked away with a career-best ₹3.01 Lakhs last night after prevailing over ‘tabahi2k18’ (runner-up for ₹1.79 Lakhs) in the heads-up clash.

The ₹5,500 buy-in MTT logged in a total of 250 entrants to leave a huge overlay of ₹2.50 Lakhs and the top 27 places finished ITM.

The first-ever NPS Main Event champion, Mohammad ‘Bund_Blaster’ Azhar continued his blistering online run and ran past the competition in the ₹12 Lakhs GTD Sunday Highroller on PokerStars India! Azhar took home the up top ₹2.76 Lakhs cash prize, with PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Haxton Jr’ Raj placing second for ₹2.12 Lakhs.
