GGPoker has gone on quite a rampage appointing brand ambassadors lately. On April 23, the online poker site announced yet another big-name ambassadorship, this time in former tennis world number 1 Boris Becker, along with forging a new partnership with Europe’s King’s Casino!
Sharing his excitement on the collaboration, Becker tweeted:
Can’t wait to play the WSOP online … https://t.co/c1qbHA7v2Q

This former PokerStars ambassador joins Team GGPoker just a week after another former PokerStars Team Pro Bertrand Grospellier was added to the roster. With Becker and Grospellier now onboard, the Asian operator has two European ambassadors to go along with representatives from North America, i.e., Daniel Negreanu and Bryn Kenney, as well as, Felipe Ramos from South America. Notably, Ramos and Negreanu have both represented PokerStars in the past.
Becker will represent the brands while playing online, acting as the official ambassador for the upcoming WSOP Super Circuit Online Series poker tournaments.
Talking about the collaboration, Becker said, “I am thrilled to work with GGPoker and King’s and am looking forward to competing with players around the world on the very best poker platform. With the WSOP Super Circuit Online Series just around the corner, I’m hoping to add a WSOP Circuit ring to my Grand Slam wins.”
Jean-Christophe Antoine, Head of GGPoker, was equally upbeat at the new addition and said, “The addition of both a sporting great like Boris and a respected poker brand like King’s to the GGPoker roster means we continue to go from strength to strength. Everyone is well aware of what a fierce competitor Boris is on the court, and I expect to see the same spirit when he hits the tables.”
In addition to working with GGPoker, Becker will also represent King’s Resort Rozvadov. The Czech casino has become the hub for major European poker tournaments in the last five years, and the retired sportsman will be representing both brands under the deal.
This latest three-way deal came through just as GGPoker is preparing to host the WSOP Super Circuit Online Series. With King’s Casino Rozvadov typically providing a home for the WSOP’s European adventures, the deal is a natural one under the current conditions.
Leon Tsoukernik, the owner of King’s Resort, also shared his views on this new collaboration, “We are honored to announce our partnership with GGPoker, the most ambitious online operator right now. Their software is incredibly innovative and evolutive, yet still convenient for amateur players, with many amazing and exclusive features. We are very excited with the support of my friend and poker legend ElkY to combine forces with GGPoker. This gives all of our players the best platform and the very best offers.”
Known for his dynamic style on the courts, Becker is sure to bring that same flair to the poker felts as well!
