Kenney is no stranger to winning in this format, having aced the $100K High Roller for $1.687 million in what eventually become the last ever PCA just a year back and final tabled the $50K the same year, claiming the seventh spot for $185K, hit pay dirt once again!
It was sweet revenge for Kenney who edged past Mustapha Kanit heads-up to win the title. Kenney had lost out on the title in this very same event to Kanit in Monaco way back in 2015.
The day began with sharp contrast to the closing session. Hollywood actor and stand up comedian Kevin Hart who regaled the players and the rail alike with his punch lines, took advantage of optional re-entry but could not make much headway. Hart was railed by Christoph Vogelsang’s pocket jacks.
Vogelsang also departed a little later when his was eliminated by Justin Bonomo. Koray Aldemir and Igor Kurganov soon followed to hit the rails.

However, Stephen Chidwick, Daniel Dvoress, Sergi Reixach, Dan Colman, Byron Kaverma, Cary Katz and Ben Tollerene, all made the final table.
The final table got cleared quite quickly and Kenney and Kanit both locked horns in the heads-up match. Though there was a frentic exchange of chips, Kenny who went into the last session with a 2 to 1 advantage, held the lead for most part of the duel but Kanit still nurtured hope and was rewarded with a fortunate comeback to and came back to par, down from just seven big blinds.
During the course of play Kenny called a bluff where Kanit could have taken the game if he would’ve called there on the river. Fortunately, he didn’t, giving Kenny back his staring lead.
The end came when an impulsive Kanit went all-in with with pocket nines but it was no match against Kenney’s ace-jack who clipped a pair with a jack opening on the flop. With that loss, Kanit took the second spot collecting $695,740 for his efforts.
