PokerBaazi’s gargantuan ₹100 Crores GTD National Poker Series India 2025 is living up to every ounce of its colossal hype. Day 9, the second Monday of this monster series, delivered a serious dose of poker excitement with seven flagship tournaments. There was also Qualifier 4 of the ₹3 Crores GTD NPS#82 Mega Rush, boasting a delicious total guarantee of ₹2.45 Crores. But a tsunami of 10,086 entries blew up the prize pool to a crazy ₹2.67 Crores, a sweet 9% increase. Maharashtra is clearly playing to win, grabbing another three Gold Medals, and really digging their heels in the state-wise race.

This series is already rewriting the history books, having already paid out an insane nearly ₹30 Crores across 62 tournaments in just nine days. The excitement spread beyond just the NPS. PokerBaazi also hit a new national record with over 3,000 concurrent players at the cash tables. This kind of poker madness has never before been witnessed in the country.

Monday’s action was defined by unbelievable comebacks, as five players experienced the sweet taste of victory, clinching their first-ever Gold Medals. Yet, Bhanu Prakash KC continued his rampage, picking up a second Gold in the series (joining an exclusive club of only three players to do so) and achieving a monumental feat: becoming the first player to reach four medals and tighten his grip across the leaderboards.

Mumbai’s Anish Patra, a stone-cold cash game veteran with a solid tournament record, became the top dog of the day at the NPS. While known in cash games, Patra showed off some serious tournament chops. This inaugural Millionaire Legends champ with back-to-back runner-up finishes in the PokerBaazi PPL HighRoller 6-Max (April & September) from 2019 disappeared from online MTTs for four years, only to come back with a bang last night. Playing just his fifth NPS event, he scored an amazing win in PokerBaazi`s NPS#60 Monday Medley for a whopping ₹8.14 Lakhs after a heads-up deal, along with an NPS Gold Medal, all in his first NPS cash. This was his third-biggest payout on PokerBaazi (fourth-biggest overall), his first-ever PokerBaazi title, and his first NPS Medal. He is also now #12 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard, making him the 13th Gold Medalist from the state.

Karan Chuganee, last year’s IPM#80 (6-Max) Championship winner, almost got his first of the year on the platform in the Monday Medley. He finished second for a massive ₹8.03 Lakhs from the same heads-up deal, his second-biggest score on the platform and his first-ever NPS medal (Silver). Shagun Jain, a two-time Game Changer champ and a true NPS legend, continued to add to his amazing career. Hunting his seventh career Gold, Jain joined a special group, becoming the fourth player in the current series to win three medals. He claimed his second Bronze of the series (his 12th career NPS medal) in the Monday Medley, nabbing ₹5.03 Lakhs. This moved him up to #4 on the Rajasthan State Leaderboard. With deep runs in at least four other NPS events, he collected over ₹5.22 Lakhs in total, shooting up to #9 on the overall NPS Series Leaderboard.

Yohan Patel, a former IOPC champion, wrote his own epic comeback tale, returning to the poker spotlight after almost three years away. Patel snagged his first-ever NPS Gold Medal in PokerBaazi’s NPS#61 (7-Max) SPRINT, taking home ₹5.06 Lakhs after a heads-up deal and earning ₹5.16 Lakhs for the day. His incredible return placed him at #3 on the Tamil Nadu State Leaderboard, making him the sixth player from the state to get an NPS Gold Medal. Abhishek Thoke bounced back from a rough patch by locking up second place for a career-best ₹4.15 Lakhs and his first NPS medal (Silver).

Kshitij Kucheria, the 2022 NPS Value Mine Gold Medallist, grabbed his second Gold Medal (first medal this series) in PokerBaazi’s NPS#59 (5-Max) Hyper SPRINT, scoring ₹3.71 Lakhs after a heads-up deal, his second-largest PokerBaazi score. Another deep run brought his Monday earnings past ₹3.84 Lakhs, moving him to #8 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard. Nakul Sharma, a well-known grinder who’s been on a steady upswing for the past two years, narrowly missed the NPS Gold he’s been after for years. Finishing runner-up in the Hyper SPRINT for ₹3.06 Lakhs—over 2.3 times his previous best—he grabbed his first-ever NPS Silver Medal (adding to a previous Bronze), bringing his total to ₹3.17 Lakhs.

Sarthak Sharma also joined the first-time Gold Medalists crew, earning his in PokerBaazi’s NPS#56 Deepdive with a ₹3.04 Lakhs payday from a heads-up deal. With five deep runs, his total winnings hit nearly ₹3.35 Lakhs and is now sitting at #3 on the Haryana State Leaderboard. Dhrooval Verma made his own statement, capturing his first-ever NPS medal (Silver) and ₹2.83 Lakhs from the deal. It was his best score of the year and the third-biggest career payout, more than doubling his platform profits.

Bhanu Prakash KC, the Bengaluru-based leaderboard beast, is on a red-hot streak. After a strong two-medal performance last Friday (Gold in NPS#37 Knockout (KO) & Silver in NPS#38 5-Max Hyper SPRINT) and another Silver on Saturday (NPS#49 (6-Max) SPRINT), the 36-year-old poker machine did it again, taking Gold in PokerBaazi’s NPS#58 Megadive. This was his second Gold of the series, fourth overall, and a wild sixth career NPS medal, making him one of the biggest players in the series. He’s the third player at NPS India 2025 to win two golds (joining Vikhyat Ahlawat and Advait Rajguru), and he also set a new record, becoming the first player in the festival to win four medals (two Golds & two Silvers). Prakash is now dominating the Karnataka, NPS Series and NPC (India) Leaderboards, and he’s also infiltrated the top 5 in PokerBaazi’s 2025 POY standings.

Navin (Won NPS#62 Slamdunk for ₹3.31 Lakhs) and Harrshith Karthik (Won NPS#57 (PLO-4) for ₹3.07 Lakhs) won the other NPS Gold Medals of the day!

The National Poker Champion (India) Leaderboard still has Maharashtra leading with a remarkable 13 Gold, 11 Silver, and 13 Bronze medals. Delhi is still stuck in second with 8 Gold, 14 Silver, and 11 Bronze, and Uttar Pradesh remains in third with 8 Gold, 8 Silver, and 7 Bronze, while other states are far behind.

On the NPS Series Leaderboard, Bhanu Prakash KC is now in front with 15,100 points (51 cases), pushing Vinay Rajpal (13,480 points) to #2, with Vishal Tulsyan (12,280 points) still holding strong at #3.

Outside the NPS India 2025 madness, the day’s biggest score was on Natural8 India. The record-breaking 2024 POY champion Tarun Goyal, who has already made a killing this year with over ₹3.51 Crores, added another ₹40.71 Lakhs to his coffers with a third-place finish in the Mystery Bounty Gigante 525. Now over ₹3.91 Crores in total winnings for the year, he’s already looking unbeatable in the 2025 POY race.

PokerBaazi’s gargantuan 100 Crores GTD National Poker Series India 2025 is living up to every ounce of its colossal hype. Day 9, the second Monday of this monster series, delivered a potent shot of poker adrenaline with seven flagship tournaments. Also on the menu was Qualifier 4 of the 3 Crores GTD NPS Mega Rush, together flaunting a tasty total guarantee of 2.45 Crores.

But the players weren’t having any of that “guarantee” talk—a tidal wave of 10,086 entries blasted the prize pool to a staggering 2.67 Crores, a healthy 9% jump. And as for Maharashtra, they’re playing to win, grabbing another three Gold Medals and tightening their grip on the state-wise leaderboard.

This series is a true phenomenon, having already dished out a mind-boggling almost 30 Crores across 62 tournaments in just nine days. And the excitement isn’t contained to just the NPS. PokerBaazi also achieved a new national milestone with over 3,000 concurrent players at the cash tables last night. We’re talking about a level of poker frenzy never before witnessed in the country.

The headlining act of the evening was the 75 Lakhs GTD NPS#60 Monday Medley. And the spotlight fell on a returning poker warrior. Mumbai’s Anish ‘Illusionist’ Patra, known for his cold-blooded cash game skills, also packs a surprisingly powerful tournament punch.

Anish Patra
Anish Patra

Back in 2019, Patra made a splash, winning the inaugural The Millionaire Legends and grabbing two runner-up finishes in the PokerBaazi PPL HighRoller 6-Max, both in April and September of that year. Then… poof! He disappeared completely from the online MTT scene!

After four long years, Patra re-emerged on PokerBaazi, like a phoenix from the ashes, just in time for the NPS. And what a glorious return. In only his fifth NPS event, he made his first-ever NPS cash really, really count.

The 7 PM Monday Medley was a siren’s call, luring in 571 players. The field expanded to a monstrous 1,147 entries by the time late registrations closed, turning the tournament into a nine-hour war of attrition. Patra, with ice in his veins, outlasted every single challenger. A heads-up deal locked down the win, delivering a breathtaking 8.14 Lakhs to his account. This isn’t just a number; it is his third-largest payout on PokerBaazi (fourth-largest ever), his first PokerBaazi title, and the coveted first NPS Gold Medal. This comeback has rewritten the poker record, making him the top scorer for the day at NPS. This dominant performance has rocketed him to #12 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard, and he is now the 13th Gold Medalist from the state. An absolutely stunning return!

Anish Patra’s online stats (PokerBaazi, Adda52 and Spartan Poker): Lifetime Winnings: 1.94 Crores | Lifetime Profits: 64.73 Lakhs | Titles Won in 2025: #1 | Moves to #12 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard | NPS Medals Won: 1 Gold | Lifetime NPS Winnings: 8.14 Lakhs

The battle for the NPS#60 Monday Medley Gold was a knock-down, drag-out fight, and it all came down to a Maharashtra head-to-head showdown! On the opposite side of the digital felt was Karan ‘Ksc247’ Chuganee, last year’s IPM#80 (6-Max) Championship king! He was inches away from his third title on the platform and first of the year. Entering the 7 PM battle thrice, Chuganee fought hard, but an NPS Gold remained elusive. Still, the runner-up finish, resulting from the deal, added a stunning 8.03 Lakhs to his bankroll, representing his second-biggest score on the platform and his first NPS medal (Silver). He also leapfrogged to #19 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard!

Jaipur’s Shagun ‘Sogani22’ Jain, a two-time Game Changer champion and a certified NPS legend, is another player causing a major uproar at the NPS India 2025. He was on a mission for his seventh career, Gold, and joined an exclusive club, becoming the fourth player in this current series to earn three medals and only the 18th overall to collect multiple medals. His collection grew after winning a Silver (NPS#21 (7-Max) SPRINT) and a Bronze (NPS#34 (5-Max) Big Hyper SPRINT), as he finished third in the NPS#60 Monday Medley, nabbing his second Bronze of the series (his 12th medal in total) and a cool 5.03 Lakhs. This pushed him up to #4 on the Rajasthan State Leaderboard.

The poker winds shifted, and Monday night became a tempest of triumph for Yohan ‘AllinMaestro’ Patel, a Chennai native, who stepped back into the poker spotlight after a nearly three-year hiatus. And what a return it was, unfolding on the grand stage of the NPS India 2025. Patel announced his comeback in style, conquering PokerBaazi’s ₹40 Lakhs GTD NPS#61 (7-Max) SPRINT. A heads-up deal was struck, and just like that, Patel found himself richer by a hefty ₹5.06 Lakhs and, the even sweeter prize, the coveted NPS Gold Medal (his first NPS medal). A long-awaited victory tasted all the better.

Day 9 of the NPS India 2025 was a high-energy poker marathon. Seven tournaments ran concurrently, but the 8:30 PM NPS#61 (7-Max) SPRINT was in a league of its own. A staggering 1,348 entries (643 unique) swarmed PokerBaazi, creating a guarantee-crushing prize pool. Patel, a former IOPC champion, expertly navigated these turbulent waters. He emerged as the last player standing after a relatively speedy six hours and fifty minutes of intense play, sealed by that fateful heads-up deal. This win wasn’t just another notch on his belt; it was his first NPS Gold Medal, his largest payday of 2025, and the eighth-biggest score of his poker career.

But the symphony didn’t stop there. He added a 72nd-place finish in the NPS#59 (5-Max) Hyper SPRINT, pocketing ₹10,407. This extra boost meant Patel’s Monday night earnings soared to a remarkable ₹5.16 Lakhs. This epic resurgence shot him straight to the #3 spot on the Tamil Nadu State Leaderboard, making him the sixth player from the state to claim a Gold Medal.

Yohan Patel’s online stats (PokerBaazi, Adda52 and Spartan Poker): Lifetime Winnings: ₹3.73 Crores | Lifetime Profits: ₹81.55 Lakhs | Titles Won in 2025: #1 | Moves to #3 on the Tamil Nadu State Leaderboard | NPS Medals Won: 1 Gold | Lifetime NPS Winnings: ₹11.28 Lakhs

Abhishek ‘abhishekthoke’ Thoke had been riding a frustrating downswing. But this online regular, known for playing everything from the mid-stakes NPS flagships to the satellites to the bigger buy-in headliners, found himself with a real shot at that elusive first NPS Gold Medal. While victory slipped through his fingers, he managed his first-ever NPS Silver Medal and a career-best ₹4.15 Lakhs payday – a direct result of that crucial deal, offering a much-needed balm to past losses. This also contributed a remarkable 11th Silver to Maharashtra’s medal count, further cementing their dominance in the state-wide competition. Delhi and Uttar Pradesh now find themselves lagging, a distant second and third.

Adding another layer to the unfolding narrative, former EndBoss champion Sanish ‘Sanish21’ Chhabra finally made his mark in the series, grabbing the Bronze Medal (his fourth NPS medal to date) in the NPS#61 (7-Max) SPRINT. The ₹2.91 Lakhs he collected represented his biggest single score of 2025.

The final table of the NPS#61 (7-Max) SPRINT was stacked with big names, including Sunday’s Big Whale finalist and last week’s MMA Main Event champion Ram ‘Mowgumotu’ Kakkar (4th for ₹2.13 Lakhs), Penjo ‘Shutterisland’ Wangchuk (5th for ₹1.55 Lakhs), satellite qualifier and Saturday’s NPS#46 (PLO-4) Megadive finalist Rishabh ’13rishabh’ Harsh (6th for ₹1.13 Lakhs), and The MoneyMaker 6.0 champion best known for his hattrick of Gold Medals in 2022, Rohit ‘ChubbyGhost’ Begwani (7th for ₹86,811).

The NPS#61 (7-Max) SPRINT was more than a success; it was a phenomenon. The tournament generated a scorching ₹47.18 Lakhs prize pool, crushing the advertised guarantee by almost 18%. The top 226 finishers were all guaranteed at least ₹6,605, a solid 1.6X return on their ₹4,025 investment: the NPS India 2025 action shows no signs of slowing down.

The NPS India 2025 continues its reign as the “Olympics of Indian Poker” – a volcanic eruption of high-octane action, and Monday’s skirmishes etched another legendary chapter into its history!

Day 9 featured a lineup of seven NPS flagship tournaments, including the ₹30 Lakhs GTD NPS #59 (5-Max) Hyper SPRINT. The seventh Hyper tournament on this year’s NPS calendar promised a rapid-fire, all-out poker brawl, and it certainly delivered. And rising above the pandemonium was Kshitij ‘kmk1127’ Kucheria (opted out of our tracking).

Kshitij Kucheria
Kshitij Kucheria

Kucheria, already wearing NPS Gold, having previously dominated the 2022 NPS Value Mine, bulldozed through a gigantic 1,119-entry field (492 unique) in the 6:30 PM flagship. He weathered a fierce, turbo-charged 4-hour-13-minute onslaught, grabbing his second NPS Gold Medal (and his first of this series). This conquest came with a hefty ₹3.71 Lakhs in prize money (after a heads-up deal) – his second-largest PokerBaazi score to date.

Kucheria also put in a fine performance in the NPS #60 Monday Medley (130th for ₹13,649), pumping up his nightly total to over ₹3.84 Lakhs! This fantastic run boosts Maharashtra’s Gold Medal count to a commanding 13, extending their lead in the regional battle, and Kucheria now holds a strong position at #8 on the State Leaderboard.

Kshitij Kucheria’s NPS stats: Moves to #8 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard | NPS Medals Won: 2 Gold & 1 Bronze | Lifetime NPS Winnings: ₹16.30 Lakhs

Nakul ‘naksrocks’ Sharma, a familiar face on the online circuit who has been on a serious upswing for the past two years, experienced his most lucrative session yet! He came unbelievably close to finally grasping that NPS Gold he has been chasing for years in the NPS#59 (5-Max) Hyper SPRINT, proving he’s a major force at the tables.

Nakul Sharma

Coming off a final table finish in Adda52’s The Mint last month, Sharma brought the heat and nearly snatched the crown. Although the Gold remained just out of reach, he snagged the Silver Medal (adding to a Bronze from the 2023 NPS#30 (4-Max) Hyper SPRINT). The heads-up deal meant he got a great ₹3.06 Lakhs payday, more than 2.3 times his previous best, proving that these lightning-fast tournaments are his forte! He continued his momentum with a 36th-place finish in the NPS#62 Slamdunk, adding another ₹11,624. Sharma capped off his most fruitful run on PokerBaazi, with his bankroll now heavier by over ₹3.17 Lakhs and powering up Maharashtra’s medal count!

Nitin ‘Gambler42’ Rawat, already holding a Bronze from the NPS#12 Monday Marathon last week, was deep in the hunt for his first major win of the year, building on his colossal WPT India Online Main Event takedown in December. Though he couldn’t quite get there this time, he made a splash, landing in third place in the NPS#59 (5-Max) Hyper SPRINT. This earned him another Bronze (his second of this series and fourth medal overall) and a nice ₹2.10 Lakhs payout for his two entries. The NPS India 2025 has been a constant source of poker fireworks, and Monday’s action certainly kept that fire burning. Amidst a day of incredible comebacks, the story of Sarthak ‘legalaction’ Sharma truly popped. A player who’d been operating in the shadows, a sometimes-there recreational player since September 2020, decided it was time to rewrite his story. And rewrite it he did on Day 9.

Sarthak Sharma
Sarthak Sharma

For Sharma, the winless streak had been real. The last time he’d sniffed a major victory was back in the ancient history of October 2021, when he conquered the now-faded-from-memory Futuristic. But on Monday, beneath the dazzling glow of the NPS India 2025, he didn’t just grab a PokerBaazi flagship title; he locked down his first-ever NPS Gold Medal. His commanding run in the ₹30 Lakhs GTD NPS#56 Deepdive saw him pocket a hefty ₹3.04 Lakhs after some clever heads-up deal-making, proclaiming his return to the winner’s circle with a resounding roar!

The day’s opening battle, the NPS#56 Deepdive, was no walk in the park. It was a grinding test of endurance, an 8-hour and 42-minute poker battle. After some early bumps in the road, Sharma showed relentless determination by firing off four bullets. That fighting spirit was crucial. He outplayed, outsmarted, and outlasted a massive field of 1,440 entrants (746 unique) to take the throne in the 2:30 PM flagship. The triumph was about more than the cash; it awarded him his first piece of treasured NPS hardware. To add to the glory, the win shot him up to #3 on the Haryana State Leaderboard.

Sharma’s ambition extended beyond a single event. With a phenomenal five deep runs across the session, his total Monday winnings reached a lip-smacking figure of over ₹3.35 Lakhs, a fantastic surge and some compensation from all his past setbacks.

> 1st in PokerBaazi’s NPS#56 Deepdive for ₹3,03,588* (heads-up deal)

> 70th in PokerBaazi’s NPS#61 (7-Max) SPRINT for ₹14,626

> 63rd in PokerBaazi’s NPS#57 (PLO-4) for ₹9,770

> 130th in PokerBaazi’s NPS#62 Slamdunk for ₹5,067

> 283rd in PokerBaazi’s NPS#58 Megadive for ₹2,210

Sarthak Sharma’s online stats (PokerBaazi, Adda52 and Spartan Poker): Lifetime Winnings: ₹83.36 Lakhs | Titles Won in 2025: #2 | Moves to #3 on the Haryana State Leaderboard | NPS Medals Won: 1 Gold | Lifetime NPS Winnings: ₹5.66 Lakhs

But the NPS#56 Deepdive was far from a solo performance. Dhrooval ‘Senseikid’ Verma, a dedicated PokerBaazi player since July 2024, was on a personal quest for his first taste of victory in 2025, his eyes set on NPS Gold. He came tantalizingly close. Thanks to the deal made, Verma collected a hard-earned ₹2.83 Lakhs. Although the Gold Medal remained just beyond his grasp in the climactic heads-up duel, Verma proudly claimed the Silver – his first NPS medal, his best score of the year, and his third-biggest career payout, which more than doubled his platform profits!

Monday was not your average start to the week – it was a full-scale poker explosion thanks to the NPS India 2025. Seven colossal tournaments were laid out like a feast for poker players (and that’s not even counting Qualifier 3 of the ₹3 Crores GTD NPS Mega Rush!). Whether you were a high-stakes legend, a mid-stakes battler, or a devotee of the four-card thrills of PLO, a challenge awaited.

The day’s theme was all about stunning turnarounds as five players ascended to poker greatness, locking down their first-ever Gold Medals. Among these luminaries was Harrshith ‘studded13’ Karthik! A PokerBaazi mainstay, grinding since 2018, and a former BVS#10 runner-up, Karthik finally had his breakthrough, capturing his long-sought first flagship title in the ₹25 Lakhs GTD NPS#57 (PLO-4) after close to seven years on the platform.

Harrshith Karthik
Harrshith Karthik

The 4 PM PLO-4 flagship was pure, unadulterated chaos. A horde of 317 players (creating a monstrous 835 total entries) braved the unpredictable currents of Pot-Limit Omaha, enduring a marathon session that stretched over ten gruelling hours. Karthik, usually found in the low-to-mid-stakes trenches, went absolutely ballistic in the day’s second NPS event. He didn’t just win; he obliterated the competition, achieving a career-high ₹3.07 Lakhs score – rewriting his personal PokerBaazi record, locking in his first-ever NPS Gold medal, and his fourth title of the year, further boosting Maharashtra’s lead in the state-wise showdown.

Harrshith Karthik’s online stats (PokerBaazi, Adda52 and Spartan Poker): Lifetime Winnings: ₹66.51 Lakhs | Lifetime Profits: ₹7.50 Lakhs | Titles Won in 2025: #4 | Moves to #13 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard | NPS Medals Won: 1 Gold | Lifetime NPS Winnings: ₹4.18 Lakhs

Rohan ‘theoldrod’ Sahni, looking to improve on a recent fifth-place finish in the NPS#32 (PLO-5) Megadive, came dangerously close to grabbing all the glory. After firing three bullets in the NPS#57 (PLO-4), Sahni, who previously earned a Bronze in the 2022 NPS#51 Hyper SPRINT, found himself just shy of the ultimate prize, walking away with an impressive ₹2.10 Lakhs consolation prize and giving Uttar Pradesh a shiny Silver Medal.

And then there’s the force of nature that is PokerBaazi Team Pro Laksh ‘boomtlt23’ Pal Singh, ‘The Circuit’ Season 1 champion. His persistence, his absolute grind, has been a defining feature of this NPS. And at last, the grind was rewarded with his second podium finish of the series! Throwing in three bullets, this poker powerhouse was on a mission to capture his first-ever Gold Medal in the NPS#57 (PLO-4).

Laksh Pal Singh

Singh, already holding a Bronze from Friday’s NPS #41 (6-Max) SPRINT and a Silver from the 2022 NPS#30 HighRoller, fought tooth and claw, grabbing a hard-earned third place and fattening his bankroll by ₹1.64 lakhs – his second Bronze of this series and his fourth NPS medal in total.

With Zarvan Tumboli‘s earlier three-medal explosion, Team PokerBaazi is now flexing a stunning five medals this series. Only Abhishek Goindi remains podium-less – but that is almost certainly a temporary situation.

But that’s not where Singh’s story ends. This poker dynamo cashed in three additional NPS tournaments, including another impressive final table showing in the NPS#56 Deepdive. His total plunder for the day came in at over ₹2.14 Lakhs when all was tallied.

Monday at the NPS India 2025 wasn’t just about comebacks but also about a poker veteran reminding everyone who’s boss. Some players have good runs. Others dominate. And then there’s Bhanu ‘Chennaino1’ Prakash KC (opted out of our tracking) – a player who was crushing leaderboards long before the rest of the pack even knew it was a thing!

Bhanu Prakash KC
Bhanu Prakash KC

This Bengaluru-based poker machine is having a monstrous NPS India 2025, proving, yet again, that when he sets his sights on a leaderboard, he’s a force of nature. On Friday, he’d already grabbed two medals – a Gold (NPS#37 Knockout (KO)) and a Silver (NPS#38 (5-Max) Hyper SPRINT) – a series first. He added another Silver on Saturday (NPS#49 (6-Max) SPRINT). But he was far from finished.

Monday night was another chapter in the Prakash saga. He returned to the digital arena, using four bullets like guided missiles, expertly avoiding pitfalls, and outplaying a colossal field of 2,210 entries (1,104 unique) in PokerBaazi’s 20 Lakhs GTD NPS#58 Megadive. After a marathon session lasting nine hours and 49 minutes, the 36-year-old stood tall in the 5:30 PM flagship, seizing another Gold medal—his second of the series, fourth of his NPS career – making him the first to reach four medals this series and boosting his total NPS medal collection to an astounding six!

This victory established Prakash as the third player at NPS India 2025 to capture two Golds (joining Vikhyat Ahlawat and Advait Rajguru), but he one-upped them all – becoming the very first at this festival to claim four medals (two Golds and two Silvers). Consequently, he’s overthrown the formidable Advait Rajguru from the throne of the Karnataka State Leaderboard and is perched comfortably at the peak of the NPC (India) Leaderboard standings with 30 points.

Prakash’s story isn’t a typical poker tale – it’s a winding road of ambition, resilience, and an insatiable desire to conquer. Born and raised in Bengaluru, he earned his B.Tech in Information Science from N.M.A.M. Institute of Technology in 2008 and landed a campus placement at Infosys. He spent six years as an IT professional before taking a leap of faith to pursue a different dream—filmmaking.

But the path to cinematic success wasn’t immediate. After a year of striving to make it in the film industry, destiny intervened, dealing him a hand of poker. And, as it turned out, Prakash was a natural. Early successes fueled his confidence, and soon, poker transitioned from a mere passion to his chosen profession.

Fast forward to the present, and the man who once envisioned crafting stories behind the camera is now the central character in one of poker’s most captivating sagas.

As if Monday night’s Gold Medal wasn’t a resounding enough statement, Prakash continued his relentless march across the entire NPS schedule, solidifying his position as a leaderboard frontrunner. He cashed in at least four additional NPS events, racking up close to 2.90 Lakhs in total winnings for the day. This powerhouse performance catapulted him to the #1 spot on the NPS Series Leaderboard, boasting a staggering 15,100 points from an incredible 51 cashes, and he’s also infiltrated the top 5 of PokerBaazi’s 2025 POY race.

We managed to catch up with Prakash, who exuded calm confidence despite his scorching hot streak. On winning four medals, he shared, “I’m very happy that I won four medals. We can never really say when the medals are going to come. We can only focus on giving our best.”

With two-thirds of the series still to go, he’s far from satisfied. Regarding his approach to the NPS grind, he stated, “Since it’s a month-long series, I’m going to do just that. Just play each day at a time and give my best.”

On his ambition to conquer the NPS Series Leaderboard, he declared, “I am looking to compete in the Series leaderboard, and my strategy for it is simple—play well today to make things easier tomorrow.”

One thing is crystal clear: Prakash is playing to win, and given his current trajectory, there’s no telling how many more medals he might accumulate before NPS India 2025 concludes!
