Who says Tuesdays can’t be action-packed?! Day 1 of PokerStars India’s 15-day-long Summer Series set the stage for a blockbuster day of tournament action with 11 events on the schedule.

Abhimanyu Mittal emerged as the day`s top scorer with 5.75 Lakhs in total winnings. And he won all of that through two runner-up finishes – both in flagship tournaments.

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker`s Tuesday headliner, the 3,300 entry buy-in 20 Lakhs GTD Mega Stack (Millionaire Bubble), like the Monday marquees the day before, ran with a slightly reduced guarantee. Despite that, the 8 PM flagship outdid its last week’s run as 755 contestants collected a whopping 22.65 Lakhs prize pool.

Sujith ‘dancingshrimp’ Kumar championed the tourney to win a personal-best 3.82 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with Abhimanyu ‘ IshqBector’ Mittal (runner-up for 3.30 Lakhs).

Abhimanyu Mittal pulled off a stunning Tuesday night run with two runner-up finishes, netting a personal-best 5.75 Lakhs overall. He also finished runner-up in Adda52’s The Mint for 2.45 Lakhs to become the day`s top scorer.

PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Super Kings’ Raj was another MTT reg who made it on Tuesday`s top winners’ list. He FT-ed two tourneys, raking in almost 3 Lakhs overall.

Spartan Poker`s second Tuesday marquee, the 7.5 Lakhs GTD The Race, didn`t do too bad either, with a turnout of 637 runners collecting a prize pool worth 9.55 Lakhs. The 9:30 PM tourney went on until 5:18 AM, and the top 55 places breached the money line. The mystery user ‘avi098x’ came out on top to win a personal-best (on Spartan Poker) 1.85 Lakhs. ‘furiosa12’ came second for 1.18 Lakhs.

PokerStars India’s Summer Series has sent the June temperatures soaring for MTT players. In its first-ever outing in India, the Summer Series makes a 15-day-long run with 129 events and over ₹4.80 Crores in guaranteed prizes.

Day 1 of the series had 11 Summer Series branded events on tap. The featured tourney of the day, the 10 Lakhs GTD Summer Series-06 Sixth Sense, registered a guarantee-crushing 339 contenders who signed up for 3,300. Bharath ‘hzgod’ Kumar outran the competition to win 1.91 Lakhs, his second-best recorded finish on the site. The most recent Sunday Superstack champion, Aditya ‘ukid767’ Singh, placed runner-up for 1.39 Lakhs.

The other Tuesday marquee, the 5 Lakhs GTD Summer Series – 08 Uppercut Mini, clocked in 231 entries, and 24 places got paid from the 5.77 Lakhs prize pool. After making two FT’s this past week, Anmol ‘freak_weird0’ Agarwal finally clinched the title and a personal-best (on PokerStars India) 1.16 Lakhs (includes 66,943 in bounties). PokerGuru Ambassador Rony ‘GoGetters1’ Chowdhury placed runner-up for 73,359 (includes 23,936 in bounties).

After over seven hours of intense action, the former IOPC The Millionaire champion Anurag ‘NormanBates’ Srivastava shipped the tourney for 4.21 Lakhs. What`s even better, Srivastava had won The Mint last week as well, making this his second consecutive week winning the tourney. He also placed seventh in PokerStars India`s Summer Series-06 Sixth Sense for 31,565, adding over 4.51 Lakhs in total winnings.

The Mega Stack runner-up finisher Abhimanyu ‘PsychoDrama’ Mittal grabbed the second spot here as well, netting 2.45 Lakhs.

The 2.75 Lakhs GTD Voyager gathered a starting field of 543 challengers who bought in for 1,100 and helped create a juicy 5.43 Lakhs prize pool. The user ‘LaufingBuddha’ took down the title for 1.30 Lakhs, while ‘Souvik66’ placed runner-up for 76,020.

There were 11 events on the Day 1 schedule, and the day`s headliner, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Summer Series – 06 Sixth Sense, started at 7.30 PM. The Tuesday marquee registered 339 entries to make for a profitable ₹10.17 Lakhs.

PokerStars India regular Bharath ‘hzgod’ Kumar won the event for ₹1.91 Lakhs, denying the most recent Sunday Superstack champion Aditya ‘ukid767’ Singh the title in heads-up play.

Bharath Kumar has won the event once before on February 4. The Tuesday score is also his second-best recorded finish on the site.

Aditya Singh, one of the top performers this past week, added a runner-up payday of ₹1.39 Lakhs, bringing his lifetime winnings to ₹82.90 Lakhs.

Rising Star Aman ‘KarmaPoker’ Parakh has won the Holdem Boost more times than anyone we know. Je added a record-extending 23rd-title to his record on Tuesday, netting ₹67,154, just as MTT reg Neeraj ‘SelfClaimedPro’ Kumar finished runner-up for ₹47,120.

This happens to be Parakh’s fourth title victory in the last four days. The others include:
