Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire Series headlined a blockbuster Friday with a sizzling lineup of massive guaranteed tourneys. There were the usual weekly flagships running on the other poker platforms.

Friday marked the start of the much anticipated ₹2 Crores GTD Millionaire Series Main Event. Day 1A of the Main Event had 351 participants ponying up ₹11,000 to enter, and only 44 players advanced through to Day 2. Bagging the chip lead was BLITZPOKER player Bharat ‘bharatram1234’ Ram (583,066), with former Millionaire champion Saurabh ‘darksider’ Rohila (309,650) and ‘shanky2507’ (187,603) carrying forward the next top stacks.

The day`s most massive guaranteed tourney to play down to a winner was the ₹50 Lakhs GTD Millionaire Series#14. The Friday night extravaganza offered insane value as a turnout of 443 entries resulted in the site filling in a whopping ₹5.70 Lakhs overlay shortfall. Decimating the competition was a relatively lesser-known player, Mohit ‘baked_babua’ Hemant Savargaonkar, who banked a personal-best ₹10.02 Lakhs after running past bracelet winner Abhinav ‘hightr0ller’ Iyer (runner-up for ₹6.66 Lakhs) in heads-up play.

The 8 PM tourney culminated at 4:17 AM with Deepak ‘DKR007’ U walking away with the title and the ₹2.31 Lakhs cash prize that came with it. Young Gun Kanchan ‘Midge Maisel’ Sharma placed runner-up for ₹1.45 Lakhs.

Two more starting flights of the high-value ₹10 Lakhs GTD Millionaire Series – D’Lite played out on Friday. Day 1C logged in 1,078 entries, and after 25 levels, 93 players bagged up for Day 2. Topping the survivors was Virat ‘Kuch chahiye’ Shekhar Singh (270,169), followed by Avinash ‘Seiborg09’ Anand (213,503) and ‘UnityPro’ (208,974).

Day 1D registered a starting field of 1,241 entries, and 99 players advanced through to Day 2. BLITZPOKER player Nitin ‘Ladone’ Tomar (237,972), Rohan ‘Rohan8585’ Sharma (226,631), and ‘Ashoka1’ (225,989) bagged the top stacks.

So far, 4,904 entries have been registered at the tourney across the four starting flights, with two more flights to go.

PokerStars India’s Friday mainstay, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Uppercut Magic Edition, logged in 246 entries, falling a paltry four entries short of its 250-entry guarantee. The Sunday Special PKO champion, Vikram ‘GreenSTUFF79’ Mishra, added another title to his tally after taking down the tourney for ₹1.90 Lakhs (₹79,736 in prize money and ₹1,10,546 in bounties). Online reg Armaan ‘armaan007111’ Kochhar finished runner-up for ₹1.09 Lakhs. This was Mishra’s second Uppercut title of the year, and with ₹96.29 Lakhs in recorded earnings, he is closing in on the ₹1 Crore mark.

Adda52`s ₹22.5 Lakhs GTD The Ballers clocked in a starting field of 338 entries who bought in for ₹7,500 – enough to collect a guarantee-smashing ₹23.15 Lakhs prize pool. After a marathon nine-hour grind, coming out on top was PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer Singh ‘arjan30’ Chadha. The Chandigarh-based MTT pro banked ₹5.78 Lakhs for the win, with Rudramani ‘rud1478’ Pokhrel cashing ₹3.50 Lakhs for his runner-up finish. Chadha has stormed his way into the top 15 of the annual leaderboard rankings with this score!

PokerBaazi`s Friday night special ₹12 Lakhs GTD The Weekly Highroller generated a juicy ₹14.80 Lakhs prize pool after 148 entrants signed up for ₹11,000. It took almost nine hours for the event to get in the books, and the former AOPS MINI ME champion, Guneet ‘guntz’ Kwatra, raced past the competition to collect ₹3.81 Lakhs. The musician turned MTT pro Dhaval ‘Rehab77’ Mudgal finished runner-up for ₹2.66 Lakhs.

This is the second title victory for Pereira this month. On December 1, he had topped a field of 193 entries to win the Uppercut Mini for ₹1.10 Lakhs. As of date, Pereira boasts of more than ₹2.66 Crores in online MTT winnings, of which he has accumulated more than ₹1.88 Crores through 2020.
