A week that started off quite unfavorably for Adda52 after the player outcry over the site’s decision to add an unscheduled starting flight in the AOPS Main Event Finale seems to be getting better after the announcement of a ₹21 Lakhs Freeroll for all the Main Event participants. Yesterday’s flagship tournament, the Godfather ₹25 Lakhs GTD, had a reasonably good showing and managed to surpass its guarantee, reaching a prize pool of ₹25.85 Lakhs through 517 entries (253 unique and 264 re-entries). The original ‘Poker Guru’ of India, Aditya’ iamherenow’ Agarwal`s heater continues, and yesterday he added another hefty score of ₹6.20 Lakhs for taking down the Godfather!

Following his separation from PokerStars India late last year, Agarwal has been on a winning run across all major networks. Though his poker skills are legendary, the fact that he has final tabled and won some of the biggest events these past few weeks like the IOPC #85 The Elite ₹30 Lakhs GTD on February 7 and the Ultron ₹20 Lakhs GTD on January 23, while also finishing runner-up in the IOPC #79 Super HighRoller ₹1 Crore GTD on February 6 and taking down the AOPS Main Event Finale on February 16, is proof enough of his extraordinary talents!

Another tournament that just about met its guarantee last night was Spartan Poker’s Ultron ₹20 Lakh GTD. The event pulled in 519 entrants (236 unique, 112 re-entries, and 171 re-buys), logging in a prize pool worth ₹20.76 Lakhs. Anirudh’ flash’ Reddy topped the field, banking a winner’s payday of ₹4.04 Lakhs.

PokerBaazi’s The Summit ₹15 Lakhs GTD clocked in 269 runners (135 unique and 134 re-entries), generating a prize pool of ₹20.17 Lakhs. Chirag’ Olandir’ Bhardwaj championed the event after besting MTT specialist Vaibhav’ WakhraSwagNI’ Sharma (runner-up for ₹3.12 Lakhs) heads-up to walk away with ₹4.45 Lakhs!

The Highroller ₹15 Lakhs GTD was the marquee event on PokerStars India’s Thursday schedule and drew in 231 hopefuls, creating a prize pool worth ₹16.17 Lakhs. The heads-up finale took place between online reg Shravan’ lukBo$$13’ Chhabria and WSOP star Abhinav’ abhi58’ Iyer. While Chhabria ultimately claimed the title, both players chopped the top prize, pocketing ₹2.71 Lakhs each. Chhabria and Iyer both managed other final table finishes as well. While Chhabria finished sixth in Pokerbaazi’s The Summit for ₹89,375, Iyer placed third in the Grinders #19 Thursday MonsterStack to win ₹60,268.

Over at 9stacks, the 9stacks Super Series commenced yesterday. Comprising of 16 tournaments, the series offers ₹45 Lakhs in prize pool guarantees. The signature event on Thursday was the 9SS #1 Thunder ₹6 Lakhs GTD which attracted 146 entries (84 unique, 38 re-buys, and 24 re-entries), resulting in an overlay of ₹16,000. Sandeep’ effuno’ Varma took down the event for a cool ₹1.56 Lakhs payout. Varma was final tabled PokerStars India’s Highroller, finishing fifth for ₹92,336.
